Angelina Jolie just doesn't have the correct kind of face for 40's and 50's clothes and hair. Also, I don't like her.

I cannot stand her. And weirdly enough, I also think it's because of her face, the clothes looked so odd and even ugly :P

After reading your review I went to look at photos of the movie, and I found the clothes they made her wear were not exactly nice. I personally would have picked different clothes for her.

I have a big slight obsession with clothes ranging from the Victorian era to the 1960s and did two years at a Fashion college, so I know a little bit about the clothes and how they should look. They don't work for me here!

Also, her mouth. It makes anything look uglier than they already are, I'm afraid.

I don't know. I'm no specialist and I assumed US clothes from the 40's were not exactly the same as ours here. I'm quite sure the ball dress could have been really beautiful on someone else, for example.

As you know, I agree about Uglylina: her hideous lisps (and thus, her badly unbalanced face) looks ugly in the conservative clothes of the era.

Yeah, you know, I really thought it was because of her mouth too. But I didn't write it because it would have been such a weird statement "her lips didn't fit those old clothes", haha.

That was precisely what I wrote when I reviewed that film, silly. :D

I don't know your reviews by heart, pumpkin.
At least, it means we agree!

(Boy, I made the horrible mistake of watching The Break-Up yesterday :/)
