It's been ages since I've been to the movies (see, this journal's last entry was in July... true, I've seen Infamous and haven't written about it, but still...). It normally never happens but those days are hard.

Anyway, I finally rented some DVD's of films I had missed. Mostly blockbusters I couldn't have seen in a theatre that suits me anyway.

I have only seen The Prestige, though I don't particularly want to see The Good German. I do want to see The Illusionist, but haven't gotten around to it for some reason. I liked The Prestige because of the twists, and it had a lot of actors that I enjoy watching.

I think you would enjoy the Illusionist... it has twists too. Give it a try whenever you have the chance.

After you posted this The Illusionist happened to be on HBO, I think it was HBO anyway, so I decided that it was a good time to catch it. It was enjoyable, I found it more story driven than The Prestige, with less action and of course more romance. Over all it was enjoyable, though, but I figured out the main plot well before the ending, almost as soon as the plot became evident. Still it was done well enough to be good.

Yeah, I think that's why I preferred the Prestige because I hadn't guessed the ending. But both were pleasant to watch.
