My favorite swedish proverb is

There is no bad weather, only bad clothing.

It's a little less profound than yours, but I find it useful in deploying against those who should be whining less and breathing more chilly air.

Haha! I so agree. Being completely enamored of the winter, I'm always confused when people complain about the weather and fail to see how *beautiful* and refreshing it is. They just need warmer, drier socks. Colorful toe socks, in fact.

Ohmygodz, Rumi melts me.

I just got a great big collection of his poetry and I'm very much looking forward to immersing myself in it for the next few days.
