I ran over my first squirrel today. Yeah, coming into Woodland, going kinda slow too. It kinda just peeked its head out and then dashed for it, and I was saying to myself, please let it get across, please let it get across, I can't stop now... Then I felt that sickening bump from my rear left tire >.<. As I kept going, I looked in my rearveiw

My family had a long-standing family feud with The Squirrels. When we were renovating my mom's house from a dilapidated abandoned old house to something livable on no budget. (My mom was working three jobs about 16-22 hour a day month after month. I was working full time and going to school full time.) We had just finished running all new wiring in the upstairs apartment. I was looking in the attic and noticed a piece of wire was gnawed. Then more.

We discovered that squirrels had eaten almost ALL of the new wiring. Hundreds of dollars of wiring. And although a friend had done the work as a labor of love. The equivalent of thousands of dollars worth of work.

From that point forward it was war. My family versus theirs. It's toned down a bit. But every now and then I still aim for a squirrel.

Hah, I assume everyone runs over at least one in their lifetime. And there are so many and they're soo stupid that they run in front of your car!

I think I would die if I hit a squirrel.
I almost hit a chipmunk once, and I had to pull over because I was crying so much. lol
