Thankful for Discipline

So lately God and I have been working through some things...and let me tell you, it's not fun.  But I re-read one of my favorite sections of Scripture yesterday and it was so wonderful and applicable that I needed to post it.  The first three verses and the eleventh are among the (unfortunately) few that I've memorized.  I need to do more because

We have just been talking about discipline at Riverview with respect to Solomon... and how God had to bring Solomon down hard, and even then He did not respond in obedience to God's loving discipline. It's been an interesting series. Even a good tree needs to be pruned to continue to bare wonderful fruit -- even though the pruning isn't fun at all, God's the only pruner I want :-) --Sara
