I just got back from my conference in New Orleans.  And I'm worn out.  My lab mate goes home to her husband, and I come home to a cold apartment and a cat who doesn't remember that I actually live there.  [Talia acted a little freaked out when I got home...now she is attacking my butt like it's a cat toy...she's a weird cat.]  :)  Archie seemed a ( Read more... )

Sounds like your cats 'just aren't all that into you'.

I was surprised to find just how exhausting conferences can be. My brain hurt itself trying to absorb all the information.

Glad you enjoyed the food and music! And yes, Cajun French is a bit different than standard French. :)

ive always been undecided about new orleans, though the (not cemeteries- crypts or whatnot they are called down there. i forget at the moment) have always fascinated me.

They have special tours that go through the cemeteries. The tombs might be called mausoleums? I think they're kind of freaky. I'm not used to burying people above ground.
