I half-watched a bit of the Vice-Presidential debates last night.  I'm not really into politics, but Sarah and Luis were watching, so I sat down and half-payed attention while reading Fruits Basket.  Now I kind of like Sarah Palin.  There are things I don't agree with her on, and I think her interview skills need tons of work, but...I'm a bit ( Read more... )

I noticed that when Biden had said something about drilling, you could just see on her face that she was really excited because she could use one of her catchphrases. That said, she did do much better than I had thought she would.

I try not to be too cynical, but you're right, the 'green' label and even sometimes the 'organic' label get tossed around almost to the point of meaninglessness. It always cracks me up to see the 'organic' maple syrup. Can you make inorganic real syrup, you don't really need to fertilize or spray pesticides on maple trees...

I'm so glad your project still exists! And much happiness for having your paper done :) I have a sizeable one on Ojibwe due next week. I fear it will be a 20-30 pager...

I'm glad there seems to be some resolution on your thesis. That has to be crazy when it is up in the air....

I watched Fruits Basket this weekend too when I visited Beth, but I still have never read to the end.
