Just found out from Ale-chan’s blog.  The last issue of POT will be out this Monday.  Wow.  It’s been a good, long run, ne?  I remember discovering POT back in college when the anime had come out, and really getting into it because RyoSaku was just so darn cute.  Ryoma was a little punk too, so that was amusing.  XD

Wah. Last issue? Such a long time and I haven't been keeping up with the manga scanlations. Hopefully... it'll be a good ending and I'm wondering how it'll turn out. I really can't wait. Haha, Maybe I should start downloading those scanlations.

Ummm...Cin...based from some of the spoiler pages I've seen, I don't think we'll get the RyoSaku ending we've all been hoping for. :(

-_- from what i hear, the ending could've been more satisfying. i haven't seen it yet, but part of me is hoping for a special. let there be a special w/ at least _some_ ryosaku, dang it!

Yeah, I kinda found out that it ended just now too. I find the road that PoT went down a little depressing (you know, the path of a fujoshi series... meeehhh. T__T) But it was good while it lasted. I'm gonna see what happens in the last chapter though. =D

Well, what I tend to find is that the series should LEAVE it to the fanfiction, instead of trying to add these useless bits to somehow make some kind of audience attracted to it-- it doesn't work.>.> I mean, that's why the fandom is here, to create these things that go outside of the series.

yanno what? i just read the ending, and i gotta say, it wasn't bad at all. so i didn't read all the stuff that built up to it, so i can't say whether it was abrupt or not, but all in all, it wasn't a bad ending at all. it went full circle, and i really liked that. konomi showed that he didn't forget sakuno, he didn't forget ryoma's true nature, and well, echos of the first chapter just really resonated here. it was a good ending. *nods*

of course, now there's a TON of ryosaku fics that NEED to be written!

No, it doesn't have the ending we hoped .____.
I don't get why he didn't decide to jump in the late future (not only one year later) and show that >_<
I'm a more than a little disappointed ._.

damn, that sucks. but thanks for letting me know. i'm hoping there will be a special. in your experience, how likely would that be? i know that it happens. off the top of my head, hanakimi and hana yori dango had specials (then again, they were shoujo series. i know nothing about shounen).

and btw, do you think konomi will do another series after this, or retire? if he doesn't retire, what do you think his next series will be about?

I read the last chapter last night, and I am disappointed by the ending. It tore me apart just like the end of the anime series did. I complained quite a bit in my entry.

I like your and other fans' versions of the future better. At least they make more sense. Your fanfics of them in the future are great, and I think you do a better job than Konomi.

i really wanted konomi to show _some_ hope. i mean, the hero is always supposed to win and get the girl at the end, right??? well, it happens in 90% of the cases. i wanted that to happen to POT too. gah, i'm just depressed over this. -_-

truthfully though, if konomi wanted it to happen, he prolly would've made it so. so either he didn't care enough, or he didn't have enough time/space to show it. well, that's what fanfiction is for. thanks for that comment about liking my fics better. i don't know how much of my stuff you've read, but thanks anyways. =)

I agree that it usually happens, and I like it even if it is cliche. I'm depressed over it, too. Thank goodness for fanfics! It's true that I find yours and other fans' PoT writings better. At least they make more sense. I've read quite a few of your works on FFNet. I would usually leave a review after reading. That's to let authors know that I read it, and also help me keep track of what I read and what I haven't.
