At some point in life I'm actually going to go into a crowded area in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, point at the sky and then shout out aloud, "HOLY SHIT! I love the study of space because it often defies our notions of the universe we live in. To me it is awe inspiring. On the opposite end of the sun scale, a white dwarf is a sun which has burned through all of its fusion material, leaving a super dense carbon oxygen core about the size of earth. The result is so dense that a teaspoon of that material weighs 40 tons. Such concepts are hard to wrap your head around.
