I used to have an artwork folder on Facebook but it just got too time-consuming to update everywhere with new stuff (DA, maybe LJ, Facebook, maybe Flickr, SD forums, personal website etc. etc.) so eventually it ended up as just a folder full of crappy old art and I just took it down

I basically use it as a way to keep in touch with the people I know who aren't on Twitter or LJ ^_~ Also family - a lot of my family are on there.

I had a few random photos on there, but just lately I'm getting into the idea of having something like an album for each year (seeing as most of the people in the photos are on FB, then they can all access them ^^ )

And yeah, I just upload photos of specific stuff: cons, a holiday, a theatre trip etc. I don't really understand folks who have 1000s of photos of every little thing on there, but then I'm quite picky with photos anyway - I'll pick like 3 out of 25 I've actually taken XD

I used to love facebook. Then their almost continuous stream of UI changes, which go on to this day i believe killed all my interest in it. I every time you sat into your car, the mode of operating it changed, you would probably get sick of it too.

I like that i took the twitter plunge. What i like about it is its almost chimp like simplicity. There is a rectangle that you type in. That is it.

Basically my problem is I have a short attention span so it's a lot easier for me to post 2-3 lines on something small (like a quick review of something I have seen/played/heard) then it is to remember it all and make a big post on LJ. Of all the other features on facebook I agree it's pretty pointless (I have even turned off a lot of photo options because I just don't care) so I do get your point but facebook and twitter (which I only don't use cause I don't have a good enough phone/PDA) micro blogging really apeals to me.

One point you might find interesting when I went off for my first surgery and disappeared for 6 weeks I put a post on LJ (and even linked it on facebook) saying everything that has happened, yet one of our friends I won't shame who stilll came up to me and said where had I been when I pointed out I made a big online post the responce I got was "well I don't check livejournal anymore thats not my fault" so I guess the fact that evryone at the moment checks facebook is another reason why it's useful

I hate the photos on facebook - I've never uploaded any.

I don't like the pointless status updates - I rarely update mine.

I miss reading long LJ posts :(

It's great for inviting people to invents/parties.

I purposefully formatted this facebook style without paragraphs to piss you off.
