Farewell dear Mark!

Nov 07, 2013 10:09

So this season has come to its end... Mark Webber is quitting F1 as a driver. We are going to miss him tons:(
Let's hope he'll do great in his new life with no F1seat. Maybe we could see him around... We wish him the best!

He's someone we have seen grow!

hehehe
He was Rookie of Year

He's got a nice family
"Mark knew all the tracks, all the drivers," sister Leanne said. "He was obsessed with it. I still can't believe he is actually there. To wake up in the morning and say you want to be a formula one driver, like Mark did, and actually become one of those 22 drivers. It's amazing. And a lot of those drivers have gotten there because of their genes or money.

"And he's still the same guy now. He hangs out with our kids, stirs them up, rings his mates and contacts family members when they might be having a rough time. He hasn't changed."

"He's still a clown. He's always been a joker and a stirrer - and he still is," sister Leanne told The Sun-Herald. "He's always been a bit of a ratbag; he just enjoys life and stirring people up. He's a painful brother!

Alan bought his 14-year-old son his first go-kart before their journey touring the national Formula Ford circuit took them to Europe - with the help of some generous friends and sponsors. Alan lived with Mark for a time in Europe and hasn't been far from his side ever since, in the process keeping the F1 star grounded. "Make sure you mention Mark was afraid of the dark," Alan said.

He's left good memories

"He used to give the teachers a pretty tough time," said best mate Stephen Azzopardi, at whose wedding Webber was best man in 2001.

Former IT teacher Mark Suine said. "He was a carefree kid but he was just so confident he'd make it. I can remember on Mondays after the Sunday night grands prix we used to walk around at school and talk about the benefits of Michael Schumacher and Ayrton Senna and their driving styles and that sort of thing. I was the IT teacher so I used to supply him with grand prix computer games. He was good at them, too."
"He was a very popular kid at school," Suine said. "There were times when he was probably a little bit disruptive in class. He probably charmed his way through some. But he was enjoyable to have around and the kind of kid you'd enjoy living next door to. He was a muckaround kid but you knew there was a good heart there and he was going to turn in to a great person.

"And the best thing is, Mark Webber is still Mark Webber. And anyone you speak to from school or town will tell you that."

He's a good pal

Azzopardi, who said Webber received his nickname (Potsie) after Potsie Weber on TV's Happy Days.

He's cool!

He's found love

Will you ever get married?     Ann: I wouldn’t say we’ll never get married. But it’s just good as it is.  I truly love them both. It's funny but somehow they have just found eachother.  He's also with

Oops!  ...well don't say me they don't look great together ;)He's proud of being as he is!

Mark: I’m a very proud Australian. I’ve spent nearly half my life not in Australia, so it will play a pretty big role in the rest of my life at some stage. I miss it, but I also like Europe and its lifestyle, and how easy it is getting from one country to another.

First&last podium

He's a prankster!

...interesting

He's got good friends who'll ride him wherever he needs

(One broke down.
The other just passed by.)

"can i get away from these nutter now please? .......please?"

Yeah hon, sure you can.

Oops! really sorry Mark, dear.
He's unique

He knows how to celebrate!

He's the Sportman

He's got incredible facial expressions

I can not understand this as he is really cute...

ehm
(Robert is trying hard not ot look!)

But even so...

He's got style

But he's elegant only if he wants!

But hey,
He'd make the greatest Superman ever!

He seems a funny good guy even in boring RP stuff

"I have been quite intrigued by Mark Webber, the man I was about to share a 'gentle' ride through the forest with." Jake Humphrey writes. "Open, engaging, straight-talking Mark Webber. Dare I say it, seemingly 100% normal and not in the slightest bit affected or phased by the strange, always travelling, global goldfish bowl that is an F1 drivers' life. These guys have to marry an overwhelming workload with media pressure, corporate demands and the expectations of fans - to do all that and stay normal takes some doing.
Mark Webber is a popular guy in the F1 paddock and it’s easy to see why. He’s got a great sense of humour, something that’s rare to find on an ego-laden F1 grid."

He's got character too!

He's damn good ignoring people

He's really a risk taker

Hey mom! No hands here!!!

No helmet here!!
Even tried (often) to fly            Happily with no harm

that's why this pics are here, we love Mark!

So, wish you the best Mark, please be good

healthy

and take care!!
