He is such a fascinating character.

In May I had the pleasure to visit the Doret County Museum, which has a few but very good TE Lawrence exhibits, though not on show most of the time.

As you could see from one of the links, they have a small but quality exhibition just now.
:D

I'm glad Dorset claims him, and he isn't forgotten in all the Hardy-ness. :-)

Oh, Ronald Knight! He's a frequent contributer at telsoc.org/telstudies.org.

Dorset seems to have it all. *g* Hardy, Austen, TE Lawrence and last but not least Jack Aubrey. ;D

Oh hi! -waves-

The trick to getting many cakes, is to go on holiday around your birthday, and visit many people on different days. Mom's record is seven.

Seven! Right. You have stoked my competitive spirit. My record is four.

I'm a bad fangirl/history person. I didn't even know!

Welp, now you do! Except no one can agree whether it was the 15th or the 16th, because he was born in the middle of the night. At school he liked to claim the 15th because it was also Napoleon's birthday. *rolleyes* :-)

Didn't his mom know?

Oh man, I use to write fictional/historical birthdays into my journal or calendar, as if they held some cosmic significance. Made up birthdays for fictional people who didn't have them, too.

I'm not sure why there's any confusion, but there always has been. His birth certificate guesses the 15th, but his birth certificate says a lot of things that aren't entirely so.

Hard to get any solid information out of him, right from the start. ;-)

I shall raise a glass of wine tonight, to toast you and your beloved!

Aw, don't waste any time on that on this night of all nights! You've got more than enough to toast tonight! :-)

What's Robert's birthday? Are they astrologically correct to drive each other insane?

July 24th! So both Leo. What does that mean?

*snork*

LEO AND LEO

When a king and queen are together, heads turn. This couple can have a royal mating a grand passion conducted on a grand scale. Both are romantic, colorful, exuberant about life, and highly sexed. The main question is: Who's going to be in charge? It's difficult for one Leo to make room for another ego as large as its own, but that's exactly what's needed here. Each not only wants to sit on the throne, each wants to be the power behind it as well. Grand lovers--and interesting rivals.

Interesting rivals indeed. And when it goes wrong, it goes really spectacularly wrong. :-D
