:-D Yeah, seems like I remember the QEII was launched just about the same time they sold the Queen Mary to Long Beach. It's still there, of course, as a floating museum & Hotel. I've actually never stayed there. Some day, when I'm home visiting, I need to do that.

Pictures never really convey the sheer size & magnificence of these ships. It's amazing the QEII has been around long enough to be decommissioned. Makes me feel all old & stuff!

I'm jealous. All I have near me are C-130s, C-17s, and C-5s. C-5s are pretty cool,though. They have a distinct high-pitched whine when they take off. Occasionally we get fighter jets in, but they're just fast and loud.

My grandparents took a cruise on her when I was still quite young. I always remembered her name though, even though I've never been. *sentimental*
