Okay, not nuff sed. I loved this movie. My taste in movies has basically never progressed beyond 1962. My eyes have always been dazzled by "glorious black and white" as they call it on DVD boxes: the way a whole mood can turn on the way a shadow falls across a surface, or light picks up a texture. It's abstract and mannered, like the acting of the era; which Clooney and Blanchett do so well here.
I have no use for realism. /pronouncement
