Character Timeline
October 15, 1978: Elisha Ariel Kagan is born at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York City, New York, to Jonah and Reina Kagan, a real estate mogul and an artist, respectively.
1983: Jonah Kagan is killed by a mugger while he and his family are going out to dinner; Reina relocates with Elisha to Tel Aviv, Israel.
1993: After a decade of increasingly heavy alcohol and drug use, and worsening untreated bipolar disorder, Reina dies in a drunk driving accident. The Kagan fortune is put in trust until Elisha's eighteenth birthday.
1994: Elisha graduates early from high school, and despite reporting to his trustees that he's entering art school instead lies his way into the IDF. He begins training in munitions and explosives.
1997: Elisha Kagan is transferred to Aman, the military intelligence division of the IDF. Receives full control of the Kagan fortune.
1999: Forced onto extended leave after a three year duty in the IDF, goes to art school, meets Sieben Dietrich in Monte Carlo.
2002: Returns to active duty, continues school via correspondence.
2003: Attempts - unssuccessfully - to end his relationship with Sieben.
Late 2003: Meets Victor Fox for the first time in an exploding warehouse in the Negrev Desert; sees that he escapes, returning him to a bedouin settlement. Begins pattern of subversion and insubordination.
2004: Assassinates nuclear scientists outside Tehran on a joint Aman/Mossad mission. Recruited by Mossad; refuses, but begins to be lent to the agency on a regular basis. Continues to occasionally see Sieben Dietrich.
January 2005: Involved in a joint Mossad/MI-6 mission in Syria; meets Eli Johnson for the first time.
February 2005: Two missions: reconnaissance in Saudi Arabia and an assassination in Istanbul.
March 2005: Involved in a skirmish between Hamas and the IDF in Gaza, lent to Mossad for two more missions: another assassination, this time in Baghdad, and as military backup for information retrieval in Tripoli.
April 2005: Elisha Kagan is the only survivor of a botched mission in Lebanon when a car bomb above them causes their bunker to collapse. Takes an extended leave of absence and packs up his house in Tel Aviv and his cat.
May 1, 2005: Stumbles into the Deck while traveling in Alexandria, Egypt. Bills himself as an artist and enters as a Three.
March 2006: Elisha challenges Bernhard Desrosiers (4♣) to bowling. Wins with a score of 260. Countered in golf, wins with four under par.
September 2006: Challenges Bryn Findlay (5♣) to a soccer shoot-out, wins 5-4 and is countered in Scrabble. Wins the counter with 312 points.
November 2007: Challenges Sigrid Bolton (6♣) to Checkers and wins. There is no counter-challenge.
July 2011: Shortly after Andrew's assassination, Elisha challenges Noah Pasternak (8♣) to a krav maga bout, wins decisively. Noah, who is left with a broken wrist and dislocated knee, does not counter. Recruits and begins training Dafydd Spencer (4♣)
September 2011: Elisha again receives permission to challenge, this time Jared Matoušek (10♣) to knife-fighting. The victory is again decisive, with the bout over in fifteen minutes, and Jared - suffering cracked ribs and a broken nose as well as three cuts from Elisha's blade - also did not counter. Coordinates a system with David (K♠) for additional agents in return for information about the Spades. Dates Anastasia (A♥) briefly.
October 2011: Marcus (7♠) is executed for the assassination of Andrew. Despite lingering doubts, Elisha lets that investigation go.
November 2011: Mysterious notes later revealed to be from Arcana arrive.
December 2011: Meets and begins dating playing with Hadyn Novak (7♥)
