I had a really, really productive weekend. I think mostly because of the deadline of feels-like-fire's birthday (Tuesday).

First: Waverly College is me picking up Waverly University from NCIS, making it a liberal-arts college, and throwing it outside of Boston. No reference intended to Waverly, IA.

Second: I first became aware of the slightly-derogatory moniker "Physics for Poets" from Pamela Dean's magnificent Tam Lin, but it's not actually the same class (hers has a lab, mine does not).

Third: This is the part where I confess that the story actually happened. Well, sort of. Not the parts that you wanted to happen. But the mud pit just before the weekend of the major college festival and then the water running out in the dorm, and the couple getting caught in the shower and the walk of shame in a newspaper--those happened. Not at the same time or to the same people (and I was not involved in either although I did actually see the mud-pit happening), but yeah. If you recognize any of these events, hi. We may have gone to school together!
