*FLAILS WILDLY*

*bounces on couch squeeing*

whew... I think I will need a 2nd or 3rd viewing to decompress this finale.

But OMG, I am so glad I didn't read the spoilers for this episode, aside from that "mistake" peek at the final 4 cylons. Still waiting on the 5th tho.

And look no further, this squee-laden "review" will be full of spoilers.

Ok, where to begin. My thoughts are all jumbled.

*breath.... slowly gather thoughts*

The Shiny:
Sam Anders frakking Tori. You know this doesn't really bother me much. If this was Starbuck and Sam was dead, you know she would frakking someone/anyone to get through the grief. This is just another indication of why they are perfect for each other. It's a grief frak, that's all.

Lee Adama. wow! I remember seeing Jaime and Mary in Orlando a few weeks ago and they mentioned this courtroom scene where Lee just owned the room. They were right, and Jaime was outstanding. Only shrug was that all his "testimony" shoulda have been the closing remarks. But I understand why Romo did what he did making Lee take the stand. But Lee was right on so many points, that I think another viewing will be needed for me detail it. But he is right about one big thing, they are no longer a civilization, they are a gang trying to survive. And because of that, some of the rules of their old civilization no longer apply.

Short footnote: I just tried to go to Skiffys forum.... it has crashed. bahahah I knew it

Starbuck. I so called that one when I saw the Dradis show the unknown bogie. Yay! But boy she doesn't seem to concerned that there are a bunch of basestars and raiders in the area. She seems all calm and collected. And she has found earth. I wonder if she brought back an MP3 of Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower. And yeah, her destiny was not to commit suicide. I knew she wasn't dead. heh

The first scene with Bill and Laura on the phone. That is the kind of scene I love. Why can't we get more of these? Get your fat, lazy ass outta your rack! bahahahah. How much cooler would it have been if Laura was in his rack when he said it? Woulda been hot too.

Ohhhh did you catch the death glare Mom, er I mean Laura, shot at Lee when the verdict was handed down? Methinks Laura is going to have quite the Gaius chip on her shoulder next season. She is not to pleased with Papadama either. And how bout them shared dreams with Six and Athena and Hera... wooooo. and Six saw the final five cylons. heheh

The verdict. I agree with it totally. Romo did an excellent job and I hope we get to see him in the future. I am betting there will be more than a few people that will try to take out Baltar on their own. I also think Baltar will be transformed into some kind of spiritual leader amongst the people, hence those people coming to him for healing while he was in the brig. This was obvious since that lady with the sick kid was the one who help secret him away after the trial.

The Cylons: I absolutely love that Saul didn't go apeshit when he realized what he was. I love that he pulled it together with the four of them and told them they were going to do their jobs, the jobs they have always done. I love how it was Sam that is having the hardest time accepting things. And Chief is seemingly having the easiest time with the news. After all, he did say he had dreams that he was a cylon a while back. I really want to see Six and Athena's reactions to this news when it gets out. And yeah, another thing, how long can they keep this a secret?
Ok 5 Cylons
Sam, Tori, Tyrol, Saul....and....Baltar? He did seem to hear the earthly music right before the women took him away. Please not Baltar. Why not Gaeta?

Oh, lets talk bout my favorite FTL expert. My boy just lied on the stand without even blinking. He so wants Gaius dead. heheheh

The Fraks:
No Jake
No Zarek
Season 4 starts in 2008... oh the agony!

"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief,
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."

"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."

All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.

Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl,
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.
