Reading list...

As I'm too worn down to be cooking or baking at home for amusement, I've been reading a lot more.  Earlier this week I finished off Anthony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential which was naughty and educational and great fun.  It's a lovely easy read, and harrowingly truthful about the food service mafia's habits.  I'm wrapping up the nineties Reviving ( Read more... )

That's where I spent Saturday until 9:30. It was great. Sounds like good reading on your end too, woot for us "readers".

Yeah, I'm not sure how I managed it, (as in, I don't recall hiding to read the illicit goods) but I did the same. I have fuzzy remembrances of being a latch-key kid -- but my mum's bodice-ripper romances were left lying about, and I read them confusedly whenever I ran out of books.

It just didn't make *sense* why they were all so hot and bothered. *grin*
