Yikes. And I thought that all Jack Abramoff, class of '81, was embarassing. I hope the girl isn't hurt too badly, mentally or physically.

The athletes... wow. That's really scary. Suddenly going to an athletically-inept school doesn't look as bad.

Yeah, making a $20 donation doesn't sound half as bad as raping someone. Who is Jack Abramoff? I've never heard of him. I heard from an NC Central University student that one year, a Duke frat strew cotton balls on the lawn and paid black people to pick them up. The black folks shouldn't have accepted the money, but the frat shouldn't have pulled the stunt in the first place. *Sigh* ... only in the South.

Abramoff is a Republican lobbiest who has been at the center of quite a few scandals with this administration. In January, articles featuring his corruption scanal were on the front page of nytimes.com for weeks. The January debacle occurred because he defrauded a number of Native American tribes, and he's been handling quite a lot more money than $20.

An hour ago, I put up a flyer in my dorm asking anyone on the Lacrosse team or their friends to break the silence and come forward ... about 20 minutes ago, it got torn down. Oh, well. For all the lovely weather, sometimes I do wish I went to school in the North.
