Yes, I've woken up feeling awful, even knowing full well that it was a dream. And the feeling stayed with me for the day. Doesn't happen often, but it's a bummer when they do.
Usually it fades, but it takes some time. For me it's more about just getting through the foggy "ick" feeling. I keep busy at work, I read lolcats, I vent to a friend. Something that always helps me get in a better mindframe when I'm feeling particularly bad is going outside for a walk or taking a shower. Even in the snow, there's something about the shocking cold that whips you out of a funk.
I don't know what your dream was about and how close or far from reality it was, so this might not be applicable. But I am very recently trying to accept a bad feeling, give myself a little bit of time to recognize it for what it is, and then try to let it go. Rather than either letting it consume me (my default reaction) or trying to push it away completely (which probably isn't helpful in the long run).
Yes. I always feel very creepy and bad if I do something bad in a dream. It bothers me that my subconscious is capable of considering violence and other bad behaviour.
I hope you shook it off; I hate when dreams cling and disrupt my waking life.
