Bezoars for all!

OMG, MY CAT KEEPS TRYING TO EAT MY HAIR. Does anyone else have this problem? It's especially bad after I've washed my hair and am letting it dry naturally. Then the little snit practically falls all over himself in his attempts to sneak up behind me. The first time he did this was cute and hysterical, but now it's just creepy and worrisome. I'm ( Read more... )

Well, I've been trying to work that word into something ever since Sandman #17 released way back in the day, and the whole recent Harry Potter Ate My Brain event horizon simply reawakened the old idea.

Ew! Rimpy would be getting some very strongly worded criticism for trying to eat my hair if I still had any! No chomping!

Alas, I have no TV.

What, you think I'm not screaming at this little hellion? I swear, this cat is a demon sent to torment me, because he in no way, shape, or form understands correction. Willful little brat. Soon enough I will be forced to wear a showercap whenever I am at home, like some senile old biddy. Sirius Black does not approve.

Our old three-legged one used to go for my hair if my head was within reach of his mouth and paws. He'd grab it, give it a chomp or two and then usually let go once he figured out it wasn't something killable or particularly tasty. I don't know, maybe get him one of those feather toys that you could wave around at him to distract him from the hair chewing? Or a water pistol to discourage him?

OT, but since I have finally got around to actually reading the Sharpe novels: I am enjoying them quite a bit. Book!Sharpe is just as much of a badass, is fond of constantly calling everyone a bastard, and has so far tried to have Obadiah dispatched by several types of animals in India.

Okay, thanks for letting me know someone else has gone through this. Yeah, he does tend to cease and desist once I let him know I'm upset with what he's doing, but it's the persistence that's getting to me. I have this fear that one night he's going to have a go at it while I'm asleep and I'll wake up with a bald spot.

Cool! I loved the way Sean would say "bastard." He always made it such a dirty word. Remind me, who's Obadiah again? Was that Pete Postlewaite's character?

Yeah, I don't think they mean to be annoying. Not in that particular instance, at any rate. He probably won't do it if you're asleep, because I think it's the hair just hanging there that gets them. If it's being still along with your head on the pillow I doubt he'll even bother.

Yes, and he's just the same in the books too, twitching and all.

Okay, okay, this is really making me want to watch all the Sharpe dvds again.

That's Lily Cole in your icon, right?

Very weird. Wonder if there's something missing in his diet? Like... Hmmm... Very weird. *nods*

I watched bits of Rome last season with hubby and yes, very dark.

*lol* Well, if they make a human hair supplement tablet for cats, I am definitely going to stock up on it! No, I think he's just an insanely weird cat, and this may be about him trying some strange sort of way to show he's the dominant cat in the house. *shrug*

Yeah, once all the rapes started happening I really soured a bit on the series. In the first season there was just the intimation that that was going on a lot, but they didn't feel the need to show it. Really wish it would have stayed that way.
