Finally. Finally someone was useful enough to provide some potentially beneficial news. Rei had not yet learned exactly what this information was, but something about who it was coming from was enough to be promising; Deidara's work of assisting with the capture of two bijuu already was quite an accomplishment. If he had news, it must be something worthwhile.

Energy sparked from out of thin air and shifted into the shadowed form that all Akatsuki took when they met inside the cave. There was no one else here, and there was no reason for anyone to be; this was a meeting place of business, not a gathering hall for socializing. Deidara had been told to come as soon as possible so that he could share this news and hopefully he wouldn't keep Rei waiting for too long.

He disliked waiting. It would not be in Deidara's best interests to be late.

Deidara wasn't one to keep someone waiting for too long. He was, after all, Sasori's old partner. Neither of the two artist relished in people making them wait, so he was use to being on time for something important.

His own crackling form appeared not too long after the leader's, crouched on the ceiling with his hair hanging down out of his cloak. "Sir," he greeted, his voice deeper with the bushin projection.

"Deidara," he returned in passing acknowledgement before moving right along to more interesting matters. Whatever he chose to do on his own time was always more important that being disturbed for senseless, trivial reasons. There was no room for idle conversation even if it wasn't something that he despised.

"What is it that you know and why do I want to know it?" Again, he was perhaps giving too much credit, but to have a meeting 'away from prying eyes' sounded rather confidential. Confidentiality tended to imply rather exciting and loaded news. If this was the case now, it should prove to be well worth his time.

The confident grin was aparent even in the shadowy figure so far away. "I've been doing a bit of my own traveling around the countries and found one that is highly probable to being a jinchuuriki, un. In the Cloud Country," he informed him. "I waited to tell you before moving to investigate further."

So he had been working during this 'vacation' that he had requested and had not been idling away his time after all. Nodding at the other shadowed figure, he considered this bit of information. Deidara sounded sure, but Rei needed to know how much. "How sure are you to say that this jinchuuriki is 'highly probable'?"

As far as he was concerned, any instance of a potential jinchuuriki was something that ought to be looked into, especially now, with a good number of them already in his possession; it was easier to recognize the signs of a bijuu, but locating the few that remained was like trying to find a needle in a haystack. They were out there somewhere and would be found. It was only a matter of time.

Deidara could tell he was pleased with his information in some form or another. He continued, "he's a high level shinobi there that seems to be overly trained and get's special attention. Rituals and the like. I asked around and someone called him the 'container', un."

"Hn." Despite the vague, disinterested sound, he was pleased; Deidara had almost admirable initiative.

It did indeed seem that this was a highly probable situation after all. Best not to waste any more time. "Very well, then. Go and investigate further, take whatever action necessary to do so. Bring it back if you can." Though the shadowed figure would not show it, Rei himself was smiling as he sat on his usual perch, where he was projecting from. "One more thing, Deidara."

"Yes, sir?" he asked, the projection of the blond iwa nin tilted it's head to the side to look at him questionally, waiting for the one more thing.

"Take Itachi with you. It should give him something to do." It was an order and there was no room for Rei to be swayed, even if there were any objections. There would be little coming from the man he was currently speaking with, but he knew that Itachi would more than likely have something to complain about, but he could be made to see reason. This second reassignment would be necessary with Tobi, Deidara's normal partner, out with Hidan - which he still had yet to get a progress report from. Working with Itachi might also prove successful, bringing them one step closer to their goal.

Rather then complaining, Deidara laughed aloud at the aspect of it. Poor Itachi. He'd have to do something to make Itachi look a little more successful in the Akatsuki. Of course there would be something in it for him as well, but that would be held to the end.

"Yes, sir," he said, still chuckling to himself. "Anything else?"

"Just don't kill each other before you've completed your mission." Not more than a few seconds later, he released the jutsu and his projected body dissipated into nothingness, leaving his subordinate to do as he pleased.

Smirking to himself, Rei looked out over the busy scene of his surroundings. The information had been quite useful and this second pairing would produce interesting results. Finally, things were looking good for Akatsuki.
