I could (and have!) read this over and over again and never get tired of it. It's so subtle and so sweet, and I love the contrast of Rorschach's misery and Dan's happiness - and especially Dan's sensitivity to it, not intruding or nagging but just doing his best to help make Rorschach's day a little better. So perfect. Also: “Been better,” Rorschach answers. “Been worse too, though. Thank you.” I love this so, so much, my love for this line is boundless.

Oh he'll nag, he just needs to soften Rorschach up with cheesy jokes first.

I'll admit I think of a lot of my fics as "They hang out together and nothing happens", so that someone is seeing them as subtle instead of boring is very heartening. :) Thank you!

Thank you! Rorschach sometimes uses his pun habit for amusement as well as intimidation :)

p.s. I like your icon! <3 that game.

The following week: Rorschach tries to awkwardly comfort Dan with corny wordplay :D
