[Background] When Cassian was a young boy, around the age of twelve, his body stopped growing due to a condition he had in which his pituitary gland's ability to secrete hormones functioned abnormally and stalled his growth. In result, his parents sold him to a circus where he was forced to perform. It's at the circus where he learns to throw knives. He received harsh treatment from the Ring Master and was regularly whipped.
While traveling with the circus another performer initiates a romantic relationship with him, and tells Cassian she loves him in hopes of winning a bet with her actual lover-the Ring Master. Humiliated and angry Cassian gets revenge by killing the Ring Master and his lover and fleeing the circus. While hiding from the cops he falls deeper into the "Criminal Underground" of London and is eventually recruited by Delilah. He joins in hopes that Delilah's scientific research would uncover a way for him to grow into an adult body.
Upon joining he is assigned to be a Trump Card and Jizabel's assistant. He's basically Jizabel's right hand man and body guard in certain situations. Eventually he learns from one of Delilah's other doctors, Dr. Zenopia, that their research focuses on more extraordinary medical cases then his own and that they have no way of exhilarating his body's growth. Later, when another member of Delilah tries to shoot Jizabel, Cassian jumps in the way and takes a shot to the chest that should kill him.
[Personality] Cassian is at first glance a blunt and somewhat cocky kid; but underneath his outward appearance is really a calculating and intuitive grown man who knows how to use his appearance to his advantage. While he’s not one to talk about himself much he’s far from being a closed book and is very open about his objectives and goals, as well as what he’ll do to accomplish them. He’s also very open about his feelings. Whether he likes you or hates you, you’ll know it. He doesn’t care about being subtle and is generally straightforward about everything.
Due to the mistreatment and mocking he’s suffered from people at his expense he doesn’t trust people easily and will mostly avoid them if possible. He becomes very defensive when his condition is brought into conversation and is easily angered when teased or mocked about it. It’s a big sore spot for him. But despite all this he’s very loyal to whomever he deems worthy of such loyalty and will even risk his own life for them.
He prefers to remain out of the spotlight and seeks darker and more anonymous surroundings to hide himself in. On an occasion when he must make a spectacle of himself, he’ll do it but really won’t enjoy it. He mostly hates feeling like he’s on display for people because of his years in the circus. This could also be one of the reasons he chooses to dress in dark colors such as black, so he can fall into the background and shadows easier.
[Specialties/Abilities] While Cassian doesn’t have any supernatural abilities, he has a higher amount of agility then a normal person thanks to his condition. Also he uses the knife throwing technique he learned in the circus as his weapon technique of choice.
