I actually just sent the link to a vegan friend thinking she might like to try it with her kids. I think it would work with Tofurky sausages.

I thought that was a potato at first. I just can't imagine that would cook evenly. But I doubt that was the primary thing that they considered.

Well I think the 'sausage' is mostly hotdogs so it would probably work out fine... for certain uses of the word fine.
