Hmmm. I thought the Finns were far too laid-back to get their knickers in a twist over something like this - another illusion shattered...

I tend to associate them more with their major export, racing drivers. Do you realise that, if we had an equal ratio of driving champions to population there would be something like 75 Brits competing at the highest levels of the sport? Instead of... er...

Well, you can count them on the fingers of one hand while ignoring Button and Coulthard, can't you?

I... er... Vroom vroom?

Sorry. I really know absolutely zip about racing. Or football, cricket, rugby, or any number of other activities where a body moves faster than 4mph. So I defer to your suggestion with a hearty and vigorous nod and ::deer-headlight eyes:: and hopefully you'll understand.

:o)

In tat case *never* get me or Mr _rand0m_ on this subject...

The band should be pretty funny, should they get to Eurovision. Nil points? Or a clean sweep?

People do like to vote for the novelty acts, either because they think it's a cheeky post-modern poke at the established tradition, or because they are simple of the brain. The net effect is the same.

I think they'll do surprisingly well, but not a clean sweep, no. Look for the songs about a) puppies or b) la revolucion.

And I thought that was etched on the brains of everyone who was at the Red Dwarf party! Or maybe its just me and alex lol

It was the German entry that year and Terry Wogan introduced them with the immortal line "and here come the Borg"
