i think the real question is how much do you want to go to the second wedding? If you aren't bothered then don't go and use wedding #1 as an excuse, if you really want to go then legging it up the country will not be a problem. I don't think either party has the right to be overly pissed off at you whichever action you take.

Less than the first, if truth be told. I've not even seen a photo of the fella's bride-to-be!.. Still, it is nice to be invited.

It's in Hull -- I doubt anyone I know has also been invited though...

I'd go to both.. any excuse :) and it will (with any luck) only ever happen once in their lives for each couple so its a very special occassion and you should be honoured to be asked. If you're not there the following morning for the first one that's understandable and besides the bride and groom should have other things on their minds anyway (each other!). Besides.. there'll be bridesmaids a plenty :P

Hmm, sometimes it's tempting, sometimes it's not. But you're right about it being an honour to be invited, and I should really give a positive response to that if nothing else.

The logistics of getting from A to B to C and back to A again are pretty straightforward, I have no worries about travelling. JonDD (wedding #2) sent a list of hotels too, so I don't know if it's a late evening wedding or what the dealio is there...

I'm almost tempted to see if anyone is around in Hull, the old stomping ground as it were... I could stay over if anyone is available...

Go to both. It's not like you'd be leaving half way through the ceremony.
