I don't post much on here any more but this video, the sadness layered deep within it, and the knowledge that this Hawiian singer died at such a young age, just struck a chord with me. Some may find this specific version of the song is familiar (it was used in 50 First Dates); I wanted to find it after its use in the fantastic last episode of Life

That song always makes me cry his voice is/was so beautiful.

Here he's a huge figure (so to speak) know as Brother Iz, his stuff is everywhere.
Not long before he died he divorced his wife and declared bankrupcy but only because he didnt want her to get lumbered with all his medical bills. Bless his heart.

I have the album that has that song on it if you want me to burn you a copy when I get back.

You should post here more often Hunny unless you are somewhere else now if so share th link. I may not comment that often but I do read when you post.

Naw, honey, I'm not posting anywhere else... I'm not posting much at all, as it all winds up being same-y and introspective. Not that there aren't things happening -- I'm moving house, trying to find a new job -- but hey.

And I always read your posts too, though I don't comment cos, well, I just don't know what to say, or if what I have to say would be interesting! It's just life, it happens to all of us. You have my mental support though.

And I was thinking of you being over there while I was posting this! ;) I didn't know that other info though. But there is the video of his funeral ceremony (as he was cremated and scattered at sea) and there are just hundreds of people there, it's so bright and such an (oddly) happy occasion!..

I should try to stay in touch with you more. I'm a bad bad man.
