Mechacon started on Thursday for me. Beau showed up to take care of Krys before I had even gotten out of bed. I thought I’d told him I wasn’t leaving til the afternoon but I guess not. Thursday I was waiting for Destiny and Nathan to show up to my apartment so we could leave. They left a bit late and underestimated how long it would take to get there, just like always, and after they did get there I still had to drop Krys off at Mama and Daddy’s. 1) Be kinder to the environment! This past year I switched (for the most part) to cruelty-free beauty products. I don’t think it’s right that an animal has to suffer just because I want to be pretty. AWA 2017
So on Thursday I was waiting for Destiny and her co-worker Mackenzie that was riding with us. Their ride woke up late so they were over an hour late. The ride up was uneventful until we got to Atlanta. There were some accidents and we got stopped a few times but we did finally make it to the hotel. For this momocon I had to miss half the convention. D asked off for the time but then didn’t even take it! However, it messed me up so the best I could do was leave early on Friday. AWA 2016
For me AWA started on Wednesday. I had bought a Six Flags membership which would get me into Six Flags or White Water whenever I wanted. I left midday on Thursday to drive to Kat’s for MechaCon. Since the con wasn’t getting a cheaper/comped rate for parking, she offered her house to park at and we could carpool over.
