I figure I'll put my regular reports behind cuts, so that if I actually include something of substance in a post, people who don't care about my sleep experiment might actually read it.
I overslept by about 20 minutes this morning, which I'm really upset about. It seems I've figured out how to turn off the alarm without really waking up, though I'm glad my body was awake enough that I realized it only a little later. I think I'm going to go ahead and start putting the alarm clock in random places like I said, maybe that will help. Only one way to find out. This morning was pretty groggy, though. Maybe it was the extra 20 minutes, maybe it's just because I'm starting my 5th day on this crazy schedule, we'll see.
Naps yesterday were... well, interesting. My body is finally getting used to them again and is expecting them, which is good because it means that by the time 9:30, 14:30, and 20:00 roll around, I'm already halfway into rest-state and it's a lot easier to go to sleep. That being said, while my morning and afternoon naps were fairly refreshing yesterday, I felt like I didn't really sleep much during my nap; it felt like about 10 minutes, when it usually feels like I've been asleep about half an hour.
I keep meaning to switch these updates to the evenings, because it seems like it would make more sense from a reader's standpoint. But I never seem to do that. Perhaps once I stop feeling semi-tired all the time that'll change.
Anyway, let's see how the rest of the day goes.
In other news, I seem to keep meeting new people at an incredible rate lately. That makes me so happy! =D
