I have an update on the gap year situation. I am now almost certainly taking a gap year. Well actually Charco, turns out I may be on a Gap year too, because I really want to go to Royal Holloway.

A tip when speaking Thai, don't try and say, 'We are different,' as you did in your French oral and came out with, 'Sa me different.'

I'm not dissing your French, I'm loving it! Infact in my oral retake I got an amazing D when almost a year beforehand I got a C. So pissed off about that.

Because I won't get the grades to go to Royal Holloway this year, there's only like a 5% chance of me actually getting in because I'm on ABC and my offer is ABB. So I'd have to retake modules, so I'd have to go for 2006 entry.

We stayed in Ho Chi Minh for 3 days then went took a domestic flight to Nha Trang which is on the coast (wildest beach parties!!) then we went back to HCMC and spent the day at the Christina Noble foundation, unfortunately it was school holidays or something so hardly any of the kids were there, but we did meet two boys that my school sponsors and we had a tour and played with some of the kids who were still there and we had a look at the new school they were building.
There are a couple of foreigners (one was Irish) working there with the kids so you could contact them and ask about a bit of work experience. I'm not sure exactly what it involves doing, but when we went to Cambodia we had the opportunity to teach some of the children there and its heaps of fun and a valuable learning experience.

Good lord that was long.
