EXCLUSIVE! How it never got talked about on poptimists (AT ALL) last year, when it was one of the most perfect sparkling pop confections of the year, the mind boggles, really. I'm just saying, I'd liked to have been clued in to that fact before the late date of Forever and attendant rerelease (and you know it's all about what I want!). (Mind the rubbish early single choices were as much to blame for my lack of clue-in -- seriously, did they sit down and go "so, what are the weakest tracks on the album, then? Let's make those into singles!")

The only thing about 808's that is more heartbreaking than "Welcome to Heartbreak": the poster included in the ltd ed with present!Kanye kissing his mother's* cheek. OH GO AHEAD YE AND SMASH MY HEART INTO A MILLION TINY PIECES WILL YOU.
