My cousin, whom I loved very much and grew up very close to, died two weeks ago, very unexpectedly. I got the phone call as I was walking in the door from a hike, and I sat down hard on the kitchen floor, and life hasn't been quite normal since. Rochelle got me to a train to NYC, and my sister and I got a plane to Seattle early the next morning,

Oh Eli, I'm so sorry. I've been dealing with death/grief lately also and it's amazing the cloud that it can put over everything. I'm glad you got to go be with family and that Rochelle is so wonderful... thanks for the update, I'm thinking of you!

I hope you can find strength in your family and friends at this time, and that you will be, as we say, "comforted amidst the mourners of Jerusalem", that your family who suffer this with you can all turn to each other and help to lighten their loads.
