I'm all about standing up for each other. I think it'll take a little more than just being good to each other to really find a productive way forward, but being good to each other has to be at the base of things. It's the first step. And maybe every third. And as for the other steps... well, I'm working on that still.

It definitely IS a mess. I'm sort of in "it is what it is" mode right now - which isn't to say I'm feeling fatalistic. More that I'm accepting of the deep division in our electorate, the problems facing us, the contributing factors, because seeing those things as they really are is part of figuring out what to do to make things better. And I desperately, deeply, really want to make things better.
