[After a couple days hiding out and listening to the posts on ShipNET, Moth has decided to go out into the boat! He is currently sitting on the edge of the Thunderball Pool on Deck 3; his cloak is folded up on the floor next to him and he has his vest off, pantlegs rolled up, and feet in the water ( Read more... )

[Wall, like many bushbabies, loves to lounge in the sun. Aislin always thought this was strange, as bushbabies are not cats. Wall, however, is unlike any other bushbaby in any other universe ever, so he does not find his love of the sun at all odd. He does wear protective eyewear, though!

He is surprised to see another creature at the pool. His surprise turns to delight! Perhaps he can make yet another friend! Back home in Ireland, Wall was rarely allowed out on the town, as bushbabies are very uncommon on the emerald isle. Bushbabies that can talk are even more so.

So Wall does not have many friends.

Until now!

Wall, dressed in purple trunks and an orange-pink Hawaiian shirt, waddles up beside Moth and smiles brightly, adjusting his sunglasses as he does.]

Hello!

[Moth looks down at Wall and blinks.

And squints.

And blinks again.

Wall isn't so strange, really, considering the other things Moth has seen in his lifetime--and considering Moth himself--but he never quite got used to non-humanoid Thoughts even back in Hadaralm.

...He kind of wants to touch it. He helped Lichen nurse a chinchilla back to health once, and Wall is just about as adorable and fluffy-looking.

Regardless, he smiles and raises a hand in greeting. He can't speak, but that doesn't mean he can't communicate.]

[Wall would not mind if you pet him, Moth. He is a very well-behaved, well-mannered bushbaby! Wall waves back, a little awkwardly. Why wave? He sits down and adjusts his sunglasses yet again-they are new, you see-and scoots forward to dip his feet in the water. Ahhh.]

What is your name? Are you new? I welcome you!

[Moth would really like to answer all your questions, Wall, but he kinda can't unless you understand sign language.

...Do you?

He makes a couple experimental signs:]

MY NAME IS MOTH.

[Then, in case, that didn't work, he holds a hand to his throat and shakes his head. Makes a motion up by his mouth, like something coming out, and then shakes his head. "No vocal cords. Can't speak."]

[Sarea's sick of being in her room, and so she's exploring the ship; in husky mode, of course! She can't have people knowing who she is so soon, after all. It had taken a bit more effort then usual to shift forms, but she's not to worried about it as she noses about the different decks. It's to bad no one was near the elevators; seeing a husky work the controls probably would've gotten a funny reaction.

Scenting chlorine somewhere ahead of her, the husky trots on, nosing her way into... what looks like quite a nice pool area! And someone's there! Someone tall and blue, but when you can shift into a 7' lupine, that doesn't really bug you.

Still, she's careful as she lopes up beside him, plopping down on her butt and giving a quiet 'woof' to get his attention. C'mon, you can't ignore a dog this cute.]

[Moth knows dogs! The family that adopted Lichen has three, they help with hunting. This one seems friendly enough, so Moth tentatively puts a hand on her back and pets her thick fur.

He doesn't need to speak to communicate with you, does he? Dogs are awesome like that, right?]

[Don't worry moth, Sarea can't talk in this form, so she's happy to communicate with other methods! It's been a while since she's allowed anyone to pet her, but he seems nice enough so she leans into his touch, tail wagging happily behind her. That feels niiiiice...

She nuzzles his hand and gives it a quick lick when he pulls back briefly, staring up at him. You know you wanna keep petting her moth, c'mon~]

[He scratches around her neck, where the dogs he knows wore their collars, and leans against her a little. Not too much, because he is huge and heavy, but enough for his braid to tumble over his shoulder and hit her in the back.

He thinks you're a very pretty dog, and wonders where you came from. He's sure someone misses you, but can't very well tell you to go home. Doesn't particularly want to either.]

[At first, Lika had avoided the forest. Unmanaged forests have animals and their germs, and with how haphazardly this ship was run, she couldn't be sure their greenhouses had properly-maintained ecosystems.

But then she'd realized there were no animals, anywhere, and she'd started to like the forest. It's only one deck up from her room, so the punishing gravity in't much of a problem.

The forest reminds her of the oxygen greenhouses back home. They're utterly unnecessary when her people can just crack water to liberate the oxygen, but are kept functioning out of a sense of tradition, and because, whether her civilization of spacefaring technophiles likes to admit it or not, green spaces are good for the human soul.

There are often people there, and Lika's nervous about meeting new people in person--everyone seems so violent here ( ... )

[Moth turns at the greeting and--that's a very tall woman. Beautiful, but tall. He's never seen a woman so close to his height before, Thought or person or anything inbetween.

It's a novelty, and his ears perk slightly as he smiles up at her. He's holding his comm in his lap for communication purposes, seeing as most people here don't seem to know hand-speak at all.

For the moment, though, he just waves--note the webbed fingers, Lika--in a simple greeting of his own, and continues to kick his feet in the water.]

[The slight uptick in...his? She thinks he's presenting as male. Argh, thinking rationally in English is so difficult. What was she thinking about?

Mood, right. He seems happy enough to see her.

Ooh, webbed hands. Europan, maybe?

She asks in System Basic:]

Sorry to be so informal, but you're not from Europa, are you?

[He blinks and shakes his head, once again folding his hands in his lap with his comm. Europa, Europa, he's heard that before. In his creator's lessons. He just can't remember what it was.

He starts to sign out a question for elaboration on that, then stops with a silent sigh and types it into his comm, then holds it up for Lika to read.]

DO YOU KNOW HAND-SPEAK? I CAN'T SPEAK ALOUD.

((ooc: She's wearing an outfit similar to this, her normal boy/training clothing. :3 She's pretending to be a boy, btw.))

[Eon liked to take long walks through the forest on Deck 3, if only to help strengthen her weaker leg and to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Even though it is a tad disturbing without the usual noises of animals and such. It's so alive and dead at the same time.

She pauses at the edge of the greenery, and notices the very tall, blue-colored man sitting on the side of the pool. Very few passengers ever venture into the water area, and she hasn't seen him before.

Maybe he's nice. Hopefully.]

Um... Hello?

[So many people here! Moth raises his head, because that voice is familiar, and smiles brightly as he waves at Eon. He remembers you!

...In fact, he picks up his comm and sends Eon a message with it, because he has her ID already.]

HELLO EYON!

[Then he waves again so she'll know he's the one that sent her that.]
