[After a couple days hiding out and listening to the posts on ShipNET, Moth has decided to go out into the boat! He is currently sitting on the edge of the Thunderball Pool on Deck 3; his cloak is folded up on the floor next to him and he has his vest off, pantlegs rolled up, and feet in the water

He is surprised to see another creature at the pool. His surprise turns to delight! Perhaps he can make yet another friend! Back home in Ireland, Wall was rarely allowed out on the town, as bushbabies are very uncommon on the emerald isle. Bushbabies that can talk are even more so.
So Wall does not have many friends.
Until now!
Wall, dressed in purple trunks and an orange-pink Hawaiian shirt, waddles up beside Moth and smiles brightly, adjusting his sunglasses as he does.]
Hello!

And squints.
And blinks again.
Wall isn't so strange, really, considering the other things Moth has seen in his lifetime--and considering Moth himself--but he never quite got used to non-humanoid Thoughts even back in Hadaralm.
...He kind of wants to touch it. He helped Lichen nurse a chinchilla back to health once, and Wall is just about as adorable and fluffy-looking.
Regardless, he smiles and raises a hand in greeting. He can't speak, but that doesn't mean he can't communicate.]

What is your name? Are you new? I welcome you!

...Do you?
He makes a couple experimental signs:]
MY NAME IS MOTH.
[Then, in case, that didn't work, he holds a hand to his throat and shakes his head. Makes a motion up by his mouth, like something coming out, and then shakes his head. "No vocal cords. Can't speak."]

Scenting chlorine somewhere ahead of her, the husky trots on, nosing her way into... what looks like quite a nice pool area! And someone's there! Someone tall and blue, but when you can shift into a 7' lupine, that doesn't really bug you.
Still, she's careful as she lopes up beside him, plopping down on her butt and giving a quiet 'woof' to get his attention. C'mon, you can't ignore a dog this cute.]

He doesn't need to speak to communicate with you, does he? Dogs are awesome like that, right?]

She nuzzles his hand and gives it a quick lick when he pulls back briefly, staring up at him. You know you wanna keep petting her moth, c'mon~]

He thinks you're a very pretty dog, and wonders where you came from. He's sure someone misses you, but can't very well tell you to go home. Doesn't particularly want to either.]

But then she'd realized there were no animals, anywhere, and she'd started to like the forest. It's only one deck up from her room, so the punishing gravity in't much of a problem.
The forest reminds her of the oxygen greenhouses back home. They're utterly unnecessary when her people can just crack water to liberate the oxygen, but are kept functioning out of a sense of tradition, and because, whether her civilization of spacefaring technophiles likes to admit it or not, green spaces are good for the human soul.
There are often people there, and Lika's nervous about meeting new people in person--everyone seems so violent here ( ... )

It's a novelty, and his ears perk slightly as he smiles up at her. He's holding his comm in his lap for communication purposes, seeing as most people here don't seem to know hand-speak at all.
For the moment, though, he just waves--note the webbed fingers, Lika--in a simple greeting of his own, and continues to kick his feet in the water.]

Mood, right. He seems happy enough to see her.
Ooh, webbed hands. Europan, maybe?
She asks in System Basic:]
Sorry to be so informal, but you're not from Europa, are you?

He starts to sign out a question for elaboration on that, then stops with a silent sigh and types it into his comm, then holds it up for Lika to read.]
DO YOU KNOW HAND-SPEAK? I CAN'T SPEAK ALOUD.

[Eon liked to take long walks through the forest on Deck 3, if only to help strengthen her weaker leg and to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Even though it is a tad disturbing without the usual noises of animals and such. It's so alive and dead at the same time.
She pauses at the edge of the greenery, and notices the very tall, blue-colored man sitting on the side of the pool. Very few passengers ever venture into the water area, and she hasn't seen him before.
Maybe he's nice. Hopefully.]
Um... Hello?
Reply
...In fact, he picks up his comm and sends Eon a message with it, because he has her ID already.]
HELLO EYON!
[Then he waves again so she'll know he's the one that sent her that.]
