2013 Resolutions

I hope you all had a lovely New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! I certainly did. :D

On December 31st, I: made cinnamon roll dough for the next morning, hastily cut TA Boy's hair and then my own hair (his because he wanted a haircut, mine because I had a resolution to cut my hair in 2012 and hadn't yet done so), picked up murgatrude, and then went to a white ( Read more... )

I've been meaning to watch all three forever, but they're all kind of long so I've just never gotten around to it. I have heard many good things! :)

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. My mom is super into the books, so she's told me about a lot of the differences between them and the movies, which is interesting to know, but also meant that I felt like I'd already read the books when I tried to start them a few years back. I'd still like to read them one day, even if it's only for better backstory knowledge, but I do suspect I'll always be more attached to the films.

Hahaha oh man, clothes are so hard! My problem is that I hate getting rid of stuff, so if all my clothes are clean, then they just...don't fit in my room. Which means I end up living out of laundry baskets a lot, too. Le sigh.

yes, six feet under! and i used to watch the west wing back when it as airing. i don't remember a lot about it, but i remember liking it.

i haven't read the lord of the rings books either /o\ well, i read most of the first one, but that's as far as i got. i find them hard to get into. like i think the world building and everything tolkien did is really amazing, but i have a hard time staying focused when i try to read them. but i'd like to make it through the books.

That one is the least daunting of the three I want to watch (since it has the fewest episodes), so it'll probably be what I end up doing, haha. I know a lot of people who love it!

Oh yeah that's kind of how I feel. I've read the first half of Fellowship, but I focusing on it was hard for me, too. They read kind of like history to me, which is interesting, but I've never been a huge fan of history, so maybe that's the problem. ;) But yeah, I do want to finish them sometime, too.

Aww, thanks, I'm glad you liked it!! <3

(Ooh, that is quite tempting! TA Boy's sister might be doing some work in NY next year and there's a chance we'll try to visit her at some point, in which case I could also see you!)
