Arrested Development S4:
I finally finished watching it! I saw the first few episodes with TA Boy, then I was at my parents' house so I had to start over with them, and then I had to catch up with TA Boy because he was behind, and Bob Loblaw blah blah blah, I was finally left to my own devices with enough time to see the last five episodes today. Woo!
And wow, I really liked it! I know it's gotten some bad reviews, and I agree that it does feel different than the original show, but I think what they did was super impressive. Granted, I am a huge sucker for stories that slowly piece themselves together as they go, but I still think they pulled it off nicely. And beyond the larger story lines, I liked that they had smaller connections, too, like Michael crossing the street and almost being hit by a car that we later find out GOB was driving. It was so much fun when those little things you might have written off came into play a few episodes later.
It is sad that the actors couldn't be all together for more of it, but I wasn't as disappointed with that as I thought I would be. And it made that meeting/happy-going-to-college-party scene where everyone gets revealed just that much sweeter.
And so many cameos! And jokes in the background! I'm sure I missed so much! And I'm excited to rewatch and discover everything that I didn't catch at first! And use more exclamation points! !!!
BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY I WANT SO MUCH GOB/TONY WONDER OMG. THAT WAS AMAZING.
I really, really hope that movie happens. Yes.
