Also, quite randomly, how do people usually get home from all this crap? The 44 stops running before it all ends every night; I'm currently considering biking there and back.

The 1C runs until midnight, and then there's the 13 from South Common until 2:19. Someone will have a car if need be to drop you to South Common.
