yesterday my mother threatened to disown me if the boyfriend and i don't get married soon. it is impossible for her to not bring up that fucking topic whenever we have a conversation! "set a date!" wait, are you and your bf engaged? or is your mom glossing over the engagement thing and going directly to haranguing you to set a date? lol. it's funny because just the other day i had a similar convo with my mom where she said she'd pay for 1/3 of the wedding... whereas before, she'd pressure me to get married within the year but didn't offer to pay. lol! i think maybe it's b/c i told her i didn't feel financially ready to pay up for a wedding, since i KNOW the wedding will bankrupt me due to my expensive tastes. sigh. haha. omg, if i were "living in sin" my mom would have disowned me already! :/

that's the thing - we're not even engaged! she just headed straight for the jugular. it's only a matter of time before she starts nagging my bf too. that will definitely be trouble.
