about the charlie thing...fuck that, and no...Willy wonka was great, classic and amazing gene wilder = my favorite person, but you cant compare the 2 in that sense. charlie was not a remake, but a make of the book, willy wonka was less of the book, but same story...so you cant compare them. i think they were both wonderful in their own special great ways......so fuck off...

I am going to agree with Jamie on this one. I had no feeling that Charlie and the CHocolate Factory was suppose to surpass the original...it can't. It' slike comparing the two Star Wars trilogies...they are both seperate and good in their own ways but too different from each other and made in two very different times. They are each well done in their own way.
