Drinking for two years (52 weeks times 15 years = 780 days.)paulcurtisJanuary 19 2007, 02:33:02 UTC
Holy Crow! How do you manage to nurse a drink all day, like that? I can barely make one drink last half an hour, so by your one-a-week standard, I'd have made those 780 drinks last just 16 days. Hardly seems worth opening the bottle.
On the other hand, I've probably put in a couple, three years drinking coffee...
>Fortunately, I don't date much anymore.
I'm sure that frees up some resources.
Now that I'll soon be driving again, I'll probably go back to dating a bit, but it will take a certain amount of resolve. It is more convenient NOT to have a girlfriend, but I find myself more easily amused and involved with life when I DO have one, so (in my case) I'll derive greater satisfaction from plunging back into dating again.
One great line among many from "Rabbit Run" by John Updike:
"...The feeling of beinng alone would melt a little with a little drink. It wasn't so much that it dissolved the lump as made the edges nice and rainbowy."
It sounds like you're ready to take a look at the lump.

Your mileage may vary.
