Today it was 111 degrees here in good old Antioch. 111! It was a low of 105 at 8pm. Absolutely amazing and at the same time (sadly) not very surprising. In England it was 100 degrees for the second time in their history! The first time being August of 2003 when it soared to a record 101. Can you believe it? 100 degrees...in England! In case you didn't know: Al Gore has started a new campaign of sorts, to teach about the growing effects of global warming. I recently read an article, interview actually, in which Al talked about all the adverse effects and the fact that President Bush and Vice President Cheney, will no longer be able to ignore this growing problem. In a few inlaid pictures they illustrated some very real effects- the ice capping Mount Kilimanjaro is beginning to melt, which must be a bad thing if it were included... That is about all I can think of right now, later.

Oh, right, right. I heard about that! I belive it's called Inconveniant Truth or something along those lines. I was actually pretty surprised to hear about Al Gore making it and am pretty anxious to see it. Cheney and them all have finally acknowledged that GW is something, though they have also acknowledged that they will not be doing anything about it right now. Hopefully this documentary might get other people more aware and interested in this phenomenon. From what I have heard, the Kilimanjaro glacier melting is pretty bad news. Apparently, the people who live around that region get most of their drinking and irrigation water from the meltwater flowing from those glaciers...so when they're completely gone (scientists predict 10-20 years) what will happen??? I have to look more up on that. That's just what I've picked up. Thanks for the info! Talk to ya later.
