I nabbed a Twitter account, does anyone else have one? Still unsure of what I'll use it for, or if it even has a purpose or capabilities beyond Myspace's "status/mood" update feature-- which, it appears was heavily influenced by Twitter. Influenced, copied, choose whichever you'd like.

I have one, but no one I know joined it except for one person so that got boring....

Yeah, that's the way it's looking right now-- but Myspace has begun to bore me, and I barely use LJ anymore-- I like Facebook, but I need a little time to figure the system out. In the meantime, I'm just gonna play with twitter for a bit...even though it's really got nothing going for it that an AIM away message doesn't have.

Well, the point is supposed to be you can change your twitter status with SMS messages, right?

yeah-- either via IM or via Cel phone...and I didn't actually realize that Twitter will actually IM you status changes from people that you are following. Which so far has alternated between cool and annoying.

It's neat I suppose-- cool for mircoblogging-- can't help but think that if you actually got some people that were working on a project or somesuch using it, it'd REALLY work...in the meantime, it's just a distraction from work.
