PURGATORIUM Series: Xenosaga
Basics: GENDER: Female, AGE: 27, HEIGHT: 5'4" (164cm) She seems to be around shoulder-height to Yuriev/Nigredo, who is 6'3", while wearing heeled boots
Appearance: Citrine wears a
uniform that consists of a black turtleneck shirt, dark brown leggings (or black thights, it could be either), a jacket, gloves and boots. The shirt she wears underneath the jacket is barely visible but it's probably either short sleeved or sleeveless as the jacket she wears over it seems to be pretty tight and
fitted.
The
jacket is white with navy blue edges and purple sleeves, silver buttons and red straps. It's also fitted and long enough to cover her hips and the upper thighs and has a blue
pouch on the front. The mostly white collar is relatively big on the jacket and strapped to her left is the gun
holster where she keeps her pistol. On her right leg, she has a blue
strap with a kind of holster for her rod. Her
boots go up to just below her knees and are mainly purple with a blue part on the sides and on her heels and front of the foot. The boots have a heel that's about 3 inches high.
In her hair, she wears a narrow, dark blue
headband to keep hair out of her face. Citrine keeps her hair short, in a kind of bowl cut and her hair color is dark blonde, looking almost orange. Her
eyes are mostly yellow but green at the bottom of the iris.
Personality: Citrine is disciplined, precise and very demanding, both of herself and others. Being created as a URTV and thus a bio-weapon with a specific purpose that she sees as the sole reason for her existence, she is very duty-driven and set on completing her task properly no matter what. She is reliable and loyal once you gain her favor, but that usually doesn't happen so quickly since she has a very high opinion of herself and tends to disregard that of others. She feels that female types are superior as she sees the males as weak-minded and easily swayed, led back to the fact that her brother Rubedo seemed to have forgotten his duty as leader of the URTV after becoming infatuated with Sakura Mizrahi.
Her father, however, is the big exception. Being raised as Dmitri Yuriev's personal bodyguard and assistant, Citrine sees her father's words as absolute truth. Her fixation on him is the basis for all her actions. Although she has a high opinion of herself and trusts her abilities, she actually fears being discarded for becoming useless one day. Knowing nothing but being under Yuriev's orders, she views her loyalty to him as a natural and self-evident thing. To other people in superior positions, she shows respect and keeps her tone professional and neutral. The ones she views as inferior to her will most likely be faced with her cold strictness.
Created to function as a weapon, she feels little to no remorse when killing-that is, as long as it's within her duty and can be explained rationally. She doesn't kill for fun, but she isn't going to hesitate when she has to. She can work perfectly well even under extreme conditions, both because she is physically stronger than an average human and because she is so set on completing her job. Usually, she fulfills her tasks without hesitation; however, that doesn’t mean that she can’t think for herself. Citrine knows how to follow orders, but she will question tasks given by people she doesn’t acknowledge as her leader. Earning Citrine's loyalty can be a hard task, but it's worth it since she believes devotion to a cause or comrades to be of utmost importance.
For Citrine, emotions are often a sign of weakness since they can impair performance and influence the ability to correctly assess situations. That isn't to say that she doesn't have any emotions, though. Being a human, albeit a genetically engineered one, she feels just like any other person but, due to her upbringing and purpose, supresses those emotions as much as she can. When they do surface, she attempts to channel them into anger, as anger seems to be the least 'weak' emotion in her eyes.
When it comes to relationships, she's the type to show affection by doing something useful for those she cares about rather than wasting words on sentimental feelings. Having a usually frigid and calculating personality, she tends to put practical matters before emotions, especially when they are her own. Despite this, she is definitely capable of showing concern and actually caring about someone. Saving Nigredo repeatedly, she displayed true solicitude for someone, even if that would go against her normally cold, weapon-like behavior.

History: Citrine is URTV #668, the missing URTV who falls between URTV #667 (Albedo) and #669 (Nigredo) in the numerical sequence. She, along with Rubedo, Albedo, and Nigredo, is a rare URTV known as a “Variant". The URTV are genetically altered clones of Dmitri Yuriev, who thrived to gain immortality by researching the existence known as U-DO, and were mass produced with only the last four units being created as Variants with special powers and an individual conciousness.
Female models were produced for maintaining the viability of the URTV cell culture, which degenerates after each successive round of cloning. They were made by inducing a mutation in the Y chromosome of a developing clone and changing it into a second X chromosome, thus turning a male URTV into a female.
Because of a genetic instability brought on by the Y to X change, female URTV often suffered from defects and either died very quickly as their bodies failed them or simply could not meet the capabilities they should fulfill and were thus disposed of.
Citrine, as a Variant, took a special role in the group. Aside from being the leader of the very few remaining female URTV, her main ability is the same as Nigredo's: namely the power to eliminate the Red Dragon (URTV #666, Rubedo) in the case of him becoming a threat. Because of her function as failsafe, she was mostly taught in Dmitri Yuriev's private care, away from the other URTV units throughout most of her and her brothers’ childhood, which explains her loyalty to him.
**She did, however, make an appearance during the URTV's mission in Sakura's subconscious. On this mission, she saved Nigredo from the infected URTV units that attacked after U-DO had contaminated them. In this moment, she seemed to show actual care and worry for him although Nigredo didn't understand. During the Miltian Conflict, Citrine appeared again to aid her brothers but was wounded when trying to protect Nigredo from a soldier's attack, collapsing as a result. What exactly happened to Citrine after the Miltian Conflict is unknown. She was not mentioned during the rescue of Rubedo and Nigredo, nor was she seen anywhere until Yuriev's return fourteen years later. As Yuriev begins to take over Nigredo's mind 14 years after the Miltian Conflict, Citrine contacts him via telepathy to inform him of the current events. Yuriev gives the order to prepare the military force of the Salvator Faction. During one of their conversations, Nigredo regains control of his body and Citrine attempts to make him give up his body by telling him that he was never meant to be like Rubedo and Albedo and should just accept his purpose by joining her in serving Yuriev. ** this was not shown in the PS2 version of the game but in Xenosaga I+II for DS
Fifteen years after the disaster on Old Miltia, Citrine appears again at the side of her Father, Dmitri Yuriev, acting as bodyguard. She displays enough strength and combat skills to easily overpower Canaan. However, as she and Jr. (Rubedo) meet up, she loses the fight. Defeated, but still stubborn, she asks why Rubedo is allowed to continue existing. She calls him pitiful right before she admits defeat although how much of it is her honest opinion and how much is spite remains open for interpretation.

Further information, an attempted in depth analysis, some speculation based on available sources
She was born and raised at the Yuriev Institute, leading the very few surviving female URTV units, although she seems to be isolating herself from everyone else when you meet her, which is most likely due to the fact that she was the only Variant out of the female units, with her own consciousness.
She was 12 years old when the Miltian Conflict took place. Before their deployment into battle, she lived at the Yuriev Insitute, going through the training program Yuriev had designed for her and living separated from the male Variants, although she did meet the males on a few occasions: once at the start of a training mission and another time only with Nigredo as he wandered off by himself. She was also briefly shown fighting during the Miltian Conflict, collapsing after having protected Nigredo.
Even though they had been living at the Institute ever since they were born, the male Variants hadn't met Citrine or any other female until they were around 12 years old. During that encounter, Rubedo and his brothers were surprised to see a female and said something along the lines of "I heard there was a female ward somewhere" although they had never actually seen it. Citrine, who spent her life separated from the male Variants before the Miltian Conflict, presumably continued to keep it that way afterwards as well.
She was most likely retrieved by the Salvator Faction and stayed with them, continuing her training and becoming a high-ranking officer of Yuriev's army. There is a possibility that she stood in contact with the U-Tic Organization, which could mean that she actually met Albedo and interacted with him occasionally.
While Nigredo killed Yuriev before the Miltian Conflict thinking he was acting on his own decisions, Citrine already knew the true purpose of the entire spiel. Working closely with her father, all she had to do was wait for his return using Nigredo as his vessel while keeping tabs on her brothers' activities and building up their army.
Since Yuriev is meeting up with Sellers in the beginning of Xenosaga III, 15 years after the Miltian Conflict, and Citrine is with Yuriev when they meet for the exchange, it can be assumed that Citrine was also familiar with Sellers, supporting the idea of her connection with the U-Tic Organization.
After the Miltian Conflict, U-Tic decided to lie low and build up its military power while the Salvator Faction did the same and waited for Yuriev's return. As Yuriev finally reawakens in Nigredo's body, Citrine contacts him telepathically upon which he tells her to mobilize the Salvator Faction's army.
As she could telepathically speak to Yuriev while in Nigredo's body, it's clear that she shares the same mental link as her brothers and could probably contact them whenever she wanted to. Whether her telepathic powers go beyond the link she shares with the other URTV is unclear, but her telepathic powers are hinted at in the game's database when stating that she shares the same abilities as her brother, Nigredo, who is able to hypnotize people and manipulate thoughts to an extent.
The fact that there are very few mentions of Citrine shows that she never really had a connection to any of the URTV (save for Nigredo, but even then there were only a few encounters). Even as a child, she was never actually with them, only seeing them for a mission or when they met by chance... which is kind of strange, considering they grew up in the same Institute. But it was this that Yuriev was trying to achieve-a completely loyal subordinate: to make sure that Citrine would fulfill her duty as his failsafe without having an emotional attachment to her brothers, and only following his orders. While Nigredo thought he defied Yuriev by shooting him and following Rubedo, it was Yuriev's idea to keep him close to Rubedo in the first place, enabling him to monitor the Red Dragon and his powers. Citrine, on the other hand, would act as the executioner should it come to that.
An interesting fact to note is the line she uttered during her first meeting with the male Variants. "We aren't normal children, you know. Even if we lost control of our waveform and died, we wouldn't have the luxury of complaining about it." This line refers to the URTV's powers and how they could become self-destructive if out of control. Aware of the possibility of it happening and that her life would be lost just like that, she experiences exactly that fifteen years after her statement about it. In the battle against Jr. (Rubedo), her waves begin to surge abnormally high - most likely triggered by the strong emotions she feels (wanting to protect her father, needing to accomplish the mission, hostility towards Rubedo for abandoning them years ago). As she continuously uses her waves to attack him, she eventually loses control of them completely. Although the party probably dealt its fair share of damage during the fight, it's more likely that her unstable waveform was the real reason for the outcome of the battle. As she kneels before him in defeat, Citrine questions Rubedo about their reason for existence and for a moment doesn't seem as certain and superior in her belief that they are weapons designed to fulfill a mission.
Citrine's view on being a weapon and the URTV's purpose
Citrine firmly believes that the URTV were created to fight U-DO although that is a lie Yuriev told them to ensure their loyalty by defining their purpose. As U-DO is an existence from the upper domain, it is impossible to really destroy it, and the URTV were merely created to gather data from U-DO so that Yuriev could transcend the lower domain and become a being of the upper domain himself. Aside from that false duty, her other duty is also to eliminate the Red Dragon (Rubedo) should he go out of control. She sees herself and the URTV as tools and weapons because she accepts that they were created for that purpose. She follows Yuriev because she knows that he is the one who created her. And he created her for the purpose he told her about-whether it is really true or not doesn't really matter at this point. For Citrine, Yuriev is The Creator, the one who gave her a life and purpose.
Believing everything he says to be the absolute truth, she also believes everything about the URTV's mission of destroying U-DO. That gives her ultimate confidence because she believes that she was created to fight something that humans fear as God. In her eyes, even God can be defeated if approached in the right way.
Citrine's Fear
There is one thing that haunts Citrine, although she tries to gloss over those emotions with an air of arrogance: Most of the created female URTV were disposed of for being unable to reach the capabilities they should have had. This instilled a fear of not being good enough, not being useful and failing her purpose in her.
When she was young, she had to watch her sisters die or be destroyed for not meeting expectations. Seeing them losing their purpose and fading away so easily, she was faced with the fear of ending up just like them. Since the female types seem to have been separated from the male types, the few remaining females were her only company.
In order to not end up like those that couldn't make it, she suppresses her feelings and fears and focuses on doing everything to make herself useful to Yuriev.
The way she can talk about these happenings in such a cold and sterile way when she meets the male Variants is an indication that she managed to suppress that fear and accept that Yuriev is the one who gave her a life and purpose but also the one who can take it from her.
Citrine's abilities in battle
Although Citrine's abilities are never explicitly described in the game, some things can be derived from general URTV knowledge and the moves she uses in the boss battle on the Durandal, as well as what Yuriev says about her when she overpowers Canaan. Generally, URTV operate using their waveform. By causing interference using their own waves, they can disable weapons and machinery or cause damage to a person. As a Variant, Citrine has a stronger waveform than that of the standard units and knows how to use weapons as she was trained to be a soldier.
Additionally, Yuriev says something about her when trying to get the Arbiter Code from Mary and Shelley. The exact lines are: "Her abilities are equal to and on par with those of Nigredo. I trust you understand what I mean. It would be a shame to have to see those beautiful faces twisted in pain."
While his statement doesn't explicitly state that she has the exact same powers as Nigredo (the ability to hypnotize people and to telekinetically blow off their limbs like he did with Albedo), Yuriev definitely confirms that she has at least some kind of power that is on the same level as those of Nigredo. Now, as they are both Executioners made to eliminate the Red Dragon, they might also share the same abilities. Going with the context of the scene in which Yuriev says this, it might also imply that it is the same power, as the Arbiter Code is something implanted into the consciousness of Mary and Shelley's and could thus be taken if Citrine used hypnotic powers/mind control to force them to tell Yuriev. The "twisted in pain" part could also refer to Citrine's ability to blow off limbs at will, like Nigredo did with Albedo.
This, however, is never explicitly explained in actual game dialogue and still a bit vague. The only reference for this assumption is the in-game database entry which says: "Genetically XX--that is to say, female--her physical capabilities are identical to those of her male counterpart, Nigredo, as a result of Salvator's genetic modification technology. They differ only in that she does not also function as a host for Dmitri."
That aside, there are also the moves she shows in the boss fight:
Éclair Rod: Citrine has a small extendable rod strapped to her leg that she uses to hit targets. It seems to emit an electric shock (which could either be the rod or her own power channeled through the rod).
Pistol: With her gun, she has a move called DY 7.62mm Shell in which she draws her gun and fires a single shot. RP NOTE: With her arrival in Purgatorium, she was deprived of that gun but regained it through an event in which people received things from their home world. She also received a shotgun in Purgatorium when she joined the Department and is likely able to use different kinds of firearms due to her former position in the Salvator Faction.
Citrinitas's Wave: A shock wave created by releasing energy of her waveform that can both damage and knock someone unconscious or at least knock them down. (In game, it raises the break meter, once a character is broken, they're unable to move for a few rounds, therefore the wave is something that can knock people down). And, being a URTV, she can interfere with other waves and disable weapons and machinery powered by those waves. The shock wave can also cause destruction by itself.
Seal of 666: This move is hard to describe outside of battle mechanics of the game as it lowers HP to 666 and is used in combination with Red Dragon Killer which deals exaclty 666 damage to wipe you out. In non in-game-battle-terms, the seal seems to be an area of effect attack (as it targets the whole party) that serves as preparation for the Red Dragon Killer move. It will seal the target(s) in place for a few seconds so Citrine can combine it with Red Dragon Killer to deal fatal damage.
Red Dragon Killer: The move followed by Seal of 666. Just like all of Citrine's attacks, it is again based on waves. As her mental waves begin to surge, she can use this fatal shock wave to cause destruction and maybe even death. RP NOTE: Although she can wipe out the entire party in one hit with it after their HP is lowered by Seal of 666, the attack will only do great damage but not actually kill in Purgatorium. The damage dealt by this move (again a shock wave) is enormous, though, and not something she wants to use considering it's a double edged sword destabilizing her own waveforms.
Aside from that, she seems to have increased strength and speed as URTV were designed to be weapons and are seen fighting during the Miltian Conflict. It has to be noted that she could easily overpower Canaan - who is a Realian and apt fighter himself - when arriving on the bridge of the Durandal, so there must be some ability that is far above the average human's strength.

Relationships
Rubedo → The Threat. Citrine is aware of her duty as failsafe and willingly accepts that she has to eliminate her brother if the time comes. She thinks that Rubedo is a coward for leaving his destined path after meeting and taking a liking to Sakura Mizrahi. To her, he is a failure as a weapon because he was swayed by emotions. She looks down on Rubedo because he is "human" and rejects his life as "weapon". At the same time, however, she envies that he managed to break out of the purpose given to them by birth. In her last words to him, she questions him as to what it is that keeps him alive.
Albedo → The Twin. Citrine makes no mention of Albedo and likely only sees him as “the twin”. Despite their shared fear of abandonment, they didn't seem to interact at all, probably due to the fact that Albedo was always clinging to Rubedo's side while Citrine isolated herself. They might have met and interacted after the Miltian Conflict, but due to the nonexistent bond, neither side probably saw a need to do so.
Nigredo → The Other. Citrine and Nigredo share the same ability and duty. Their real purpose, despite being a URTV like the others, is not to defeat U-DO but to watch the Red Dragon and destroy him when time is right. The two of them met alone once when Nigredo wandered around by himself. Citrine seems to feel a special bond between them, protecting him twice during their childhood and asking him to join her under their father when they meet again as adults - all part of Yuriev's plan, but the way she talks seems to indicate that she wishes for it, too. As a child, she seems to have felt strongly for Nigredo because he was the only other of 'her kind' even though he was not aware of their similarities.
Dmitri Yuriev → The Patriarch. Citrine's fixation on her father is the basis for all her actions. Seeing it as her purpose is to serve her father, she's willing to do anything to fulfill the duty he has given her. Although she has a high opinion of herself and her abilities, there's a part of her that worries about being discarded by her father if she becomes useless. Having grown up under Yuriev's orders, her loyalty to him is a completely natural and self-evident thing. It should also be noted that she addresses him as "Dr. Yuriev", keeping a very professional (but slightly more gentle than usual) tone when speaking to him.

Purgatorium
Citrine arrived in Purgatorium on June 7th, 2008, confused and disoriented when her last memory was that of being defeated by Jr. on board the Durandal. Upon arriving, she was greeted by a few people telling her that she had arrived in purgatory to redeem herself for her sins-and she wanted to believe none of it.
After a short while, she found out that Rubedo and Albedo were here as well. Their reunion was full of taunting and jibing, but eventually Citrine let herself be convinced to temporarily find shelter with them. Despite her disgust for her brothers, they were the only familiars in this place and she quickly became accustomed to having them around.
In that time, Citrine enjoyed every second of seeing her brothers tormented. While her interactions mainly dealt with Rubedo, she actually enjoyed having conversations with Albedo - in the form of insults and verbal duels.
She found a new purpose when Duke recruited her for The Department and she began to work there, as being useless and unable to do anything was the exact thing she would consider hell.
During the weeks of nightmares in which the residents of Purgatorium dreamt of people they missed, Citrine had a lapse and became consumed with her inner fear of being abandoned. Dreaming of Dmitri Yuriev, her father, she felt as though she was being abandoned by him for failing her mission in eliminating the Red Dragon. A red tattoo spread on her body and covered almost all of it-driving her to near insanity as the sheer symbolism of that tattoo was enough to scar her: A red, snake-like tattoo that could have been mistaken for a dragon, winding its way down as she continued to dream of her failure. When Citrine was almost at her end, Rubedo snapped her out of it. Although she denies everything, Rubedo is the reason she came back to her senses and, eventually, managed to let go of her fears and those nightmares.
The event caused a small change in her as she began to see Rubedo and Albedo in a slightly different light than before. Although still thinking of them as pretty much worthless, she appreciated their presences somewhat, although she wouldn't admit it out loud.
It was shortly after that event that she first talked to Graham, who shouted over the networks about having defeated his nightmares as well. She first thought of him as obnoxious and loud, but the strange mixture of persistence and (in her eyes) idiocy he displayed sparked her interest.
When Duke left Purgatorium and the rest of the Department members disappeared one after another, Citrine found herself jobless and without purpose once more. Although never having been very close to any of her co-workers, the fact that she had nothing to do left her utterly frustrated with everything.
Angered by the rules and restrictions Purgatorium brought with it, she decided to go one step further in trying to escape. Throwing herself off the clocktower with another girl on the night of August 31, 2008, she attempted to break out of this state of not-alive but not-dead and prove that she could defy it. However, she returned after three days, completely recovered and unharmed, confirming that Purgatorium was indeed a place of no escape.
'Dying', however, helped her sort out a few things and she began to feel slightly less lost about the lack of purpose, wanting to find something new to do and, slowly, accepting that there was nothing she could do about being where she was. The memory she lost after that death was Sakura Mizrahi's name.
She began to care more for people around her; specifically Graham, whom she was beginning to see as a friend.
On November 17th, 2008, she temporarily disappeared from Purgatorium. However, she returned approximately a month later, much to her dismay.
Not having redeemed herself just yet, she continued to spend her time in Purgatorium. And part of her was actually content with that, because there were people whose presences she actually began to appreciate.
Through her experiences in Purgatorium, she began to think about living as a person instead of merely being a weapon. The longer she spent away from Yuriev and his orders, the more she came to realize that there was no need to be a weapon anymore. "Free", one might say, but to her, it was a curse of being without purpose. Through her struggles, she began figuring out living like a person, trying to have values and ideals as a human and not just a mere weapon. But since that kind of thought had never occurred to her while she was operating as Yuriev's subordinate, most concepts of enjoyment were still foreign to her.
With the return and later repeated departure of Duke, who had taken over the White Fang during his short second stay, Citrine more or less inherited the organization and was left in charge, attempting to re-establish its power by hiring new people and hunting for new supplies and weaponry. Although she was starting to live as a person, work was still of fundamental importance to her and something she wasn't willing to discard at any cost. The survival of White Fang became her top priority.
With Graham's sudden disappearance from Purgatorium on April 27, 2009, Citrine felt the impact of an emotional loss for the first time. In the process of becoming more human, she had started to become fond of people, and even White Fang as organization became important to her. As Graham was a person she sincerely cared for and the only person in Purgatorium she would truly call a comrade, his sudden leaving was a blow to her only just developing humanity. To regain control of the situation and herself, she attempted to remind herself of what she was created as so that she would be less vulnerable to the feeling of losing someone she had begun to love.
The project she picked up in the process of that was the creation of a dossier containing information about past events and known troublemakers in Purgatorium, an idea suggested by Tyve. Stored in the White Fang headquarters, she kept files with reports and extensive information on everything that has happened (although most likely not completely accurate and incomplete as it was done solely based on personal recollection). There were also private files Citrine kept to herself in which she kept track of suspicious activities within White Fang itself. Seeing as prisoners escaped twice when they shouldn't have been able to, suspicions of a disloyal member arose. However, as she didn't want to cause unnecessary commotion about possible internal problems, Citrine continued to keep those notes to herself until definite proof could be found.
Citrine left Purgatorium on August 31st, 2009.
People
Cyrus → A scientist of some sorts who mostly rambles about things that make no sense and doesn't really listen to what is being said. Reminding her a little of her father's goals, Citrine sometimes assists Cyrus on his projects. He calls her Mars for some to her obscure reason but she has stopped caring about it and accepts it without a question. Although she doesn't particularly care for the man, she often ends up working with him anyway. Cyrus has left Purgatorium once and left his Golbat in her care but he returned on April 28, 2009.
Duke → Her former boss, someone she can respect simply because his first words left a lasting impression on her. The Department is also hiring, and I'm prettier than he is, referring to Treize, who was also offering her a job at his organization. Citrine was stumped and slightly amused by the offer, which promptly had her intrigued. Despite her complaints about the lack of organization in the Department, she respected Duke and worried for him in a sort of camaraderie-like way. His departure from Purgatorium hit her harder than she expected, although it was mostly amplified by the fact that the Department was disbanded and left her out of duty afterwards. Eventually, he returned, and although Citrine didn't bother to show very much of it, she was actually glad to see him again. However, Duke has left once again. This time, it didn't hit her quite as hard, although there are many things she still wonders about when it comes to him.
Graham → A mad man who is entirely too enthusiastic. Although thinking that he has a peculiar case of Stupid, she actually is quite amused by him... obviously, only in retrospect. His sometimes irrational yelling drives her insane when it's actually taking place. Shortly after they met, she compiled a list of unflattering words to describe him after one of their conversations had turned into a strange sort of back-and-forth. Their interactions made Citrine start to care a little for him, and (although she will never admit it) he was the first person she wanted to see when she returned after she revived. Although his departure from Purgatorium in early November hit her extremely hard, she was also aware that he had a duty back at home. Ironically enough, he returned only a few days later, and they grew closer little by little, eventually beginning to see each other as true comrades. Although she complains about his habit of being overly enthusiastic and shouting too much, she, in fact, tempts him to do so sometimes, actually liking that ridiculous kind of enthusiasm.
Graham left Purgatorium on April 27, 2009, causing Citrine to
cry openly for the first time in a state of emotional shock as he vanished right before her eyes. With the concept of allowing feelings still being foreign to her, she struggles to deal with the loss, not sure how much those feelings are supposed to get to her.
Rubedo & Albedo → Although she reunited with them early during her stay, their differences are far from worked out and both have left Purgatorium, making it impossible to continue any attempt at reconciling.
Ed → Next to Rubedo, the person she likes bothering the most. There has been a strange sort of rivalry between them ever since he smacked a snowball into her face when it snowed during the winter. Since then, they have been having constant "deathmatches" and Citrine finally found the appeal in snow when she didn't see anything special about it before. With spring and summer approaching, Citrine is slightly irritated about the lack of snow. But she can find other things to throw at him. Citrine respects him to some degree as he showed some skill during their snowball fights and she likes his determination. In a way, Ed gives her a chance to make up some of her lost childhood by introducing her to something as simple as snowball fights. And it keeps her busy when there is no work.
Doumeki → Their level of understanding of each other goes beyond words. Literally. Not saying very much to each other, their conversations are short and seem pointless, yet somehow always leave her feeling satisfied. They seem to talk quite frequently over the network in a strange mix of small talk and lighthearted mutual taunting. You could almost say she feels comfortable around him, though she can't quite explain why.
Citan → Ever since the clean-out of the White Fang HQ, Citrine has been aware of Citan's admirable fighting skills. Although not getting along too well on the verbal level, she finds his skill useful and is willing to cooperate with him when circumstances require it. Citan has left Purgatorium.
Soma → Her other self from another dimension, or so she likes to believe. The parallels between Soma and herself intrigue her and she feels that they share the same sentiments regarding their ‘brothers’. She likes Soma's straight-forward and dutiful personality, but what else could be expected from her other-self? When Soma left Purgatorium, her departure made Citrine pensive, but she didn't want to let it get to her-luckily, Soma eventually returned, although from a different point in time.
Allelujah → Soma’s Rubedo. She has only talked to him a few times but the mere existence of this person fascinates her as there are quite a few parallels but then also big differences that seem to make him a parody of her brother.
Tsukasa → Again, there isn't very much they have in common but Citrine has taken a liking to him and is almost a little protective of Tsukasa, although she won't exactly state that. They agree on some things and disagree on others, yet seem to get along somehow. Perhaps she senses the same isolation she brought upon herself as a child.
Matthew (Canada) → A new member to White Fang who introduced himself as "country" or "will of the country". To Citrine, that makes very little sense but the idea of wills manifesting in a human form is something she can imagine to some extent. Although she is wary of him because of that, she values his combat abilities as White Fang is still lacking proper manpower.
Tyve → Citrine vaguely remembers Tyve being in charge of White Fang when she was first hired before she left Purgatorium and thus White Fang. Now that she has returned, Citrine welcomed her back into the organization and hopes to rely on her abilities as soldier.
Other people → There are several other people Citrine interacts with while not having any particular opinion of them.
