i think the code you want is *begin code, remove spaces* & n b s p ; *end code* but i'm not sure that it really works on LJ. there's also * < b l o c k q u o t e > * but that definitely doesn't work.

the first one IS what i was thinking of. i THINK it works on lj...at least it used to maybe? i'll have to give it a try.
