Elita-1 looks over at Kaci, then shakes her head slightly. "At this point, my help is obviously not desired. As such, it doesn't really matter who I am. I sincerely hope you and yours can get your Prime back, young lady."

She pauses and brushes her fingers over her thighs as if to clear away dust, then calmly makes her way to the door. She still knows the way back to the Nexus and from there, she can likely find Kup and talk to him about the bad old days.

'Wait a moment...' Basi is astonished. 'Your helping was dependant on us accepting you as a leader without a word? When we don't even know you?'

(( Hrm. What's convention around here: deleting or letting stand and assuming the question wasn't heard or was ignored? Deleting's not a problem, but Basi should have had time to say something before Elita left. ))

Before Elita has a chance to vanish, Ravyn clears her throat. She tips her head down, eyes narrowed as she watches the retreating femme.

"You know... on the fireground, some jackass wearing a bunker coat and a white helmet that I've never seen before come running up and tries to order me and my crew around? I tell him to slag off, too. It turns out to be the new Chief of my department, I pay the piper later... I don't trust anyone who pops up out of nowhere, regardless of how... experienced they may or may not seem, when my crew and anyone else's lives are on the line. You wanna run away instead of soing this smart, that's fine. You wanna actually help? Then do it right. You're a leader. Then lead. Take command the right way so that everyone here - who has been here longer than you and a re alittle wary about having strangers suddenly pop up and start trying to rule their lives - knows who the slag you are. Otherwise, take the coward's way out and go. I have faith in the alliance we have all formed here."

*Elita-1 turns to look over her shoulder at Basi and Ravyn.* If you know the other Autobots but have not even heard of me, then nothing I can see will make you accept me as a leader. I have given you my credentials, you have met them rudely. My help is not desired, and so I owe you nothing more.

Ravyn snorts and turns away.

"You 'gave us your credentials' after you swanned in here and promptly started trying to push us out of the loop. I'm not strong like you. I'm not big and metal, and I can't take a cannon blast without leaving a nice greasy smear of ash. But I'm not slagging useless, and I resent being treated that way. I never got to know Optimus, but he was a good Prime. Roddy? He's a great Prime, and knows how to keep a group cohesive. You, lady, are no Prime. I dread to think what you would do with the 'Cons if you're so dead set on blowing us humans off this way. And like it or not, the 'Cons are part of this too. Thanks for nothing. See ya."

Ravyn turns to Spike and offers him a polite bow. "My most sincere apologies, Ambassador. I'll remove myself to the back of the room again where my desire to actually be involved and assist with this venture don't hinder any of the big important personages."

You have turned up, assumed you're in charge and tried to order us around with not so much as a hello to the humans or a by-your-leave. You don't understand the situation and this is not the war you're used to. This isn't what Cybertron's been like, this is something completely different, but you're still going at it like everyone in purple's a bad guy and all the boundaries are the same. You missed the point by a mile, like I tried telling you before.

*Dreadboots likes Ravyn.*

"That's enough from ALL of you," Spike replies firmly. He turns to stare at Elita. "She has a good point. This situation originated on Earth and involves humans. That means that you have no right to try and keep us out of the loop. If you had concerns about security in this room, they should have been brought up before anything of a sensitive nature - such as my briefing or Basi's intel - were shared. While I understand your hesitance to trust in an assumption, the fact that you have so little trust in our capabilities to secure this room for the exchange of sensitive information speaks much of your opinion of this force. I can't say that pleases me much. I have doubts about your abilities to assimilate a situation that is vastly different than any you have ever encountered, particularly in regards to this multi-faction alliance ( ... )

"Well, that went swimmingly," Ravyn snorts before stomping off towards the back of the room. "Looks like your authority is a little in the air, too, Ambassador," she mutters as she slips past Dreadboots with a quick nod of solidarity.

Basi, since she spoke out with Ravyn, bows deeply in apology to him, and to the others. 'I beg your pardon, Ambassador,' she says quietly, and completely sincerely.

Spike's calm cool veneer cracks enough that he reaches up with one hand and massages his temples tiredly. He would very much like to scream at the moment, regardless of how counter-productive it would be.

"You had a valid point, Basi," he replies eventually. "Several of us here are familiar with Elita and her abilities and method of leadership. We should have made a point of introducing everyone around. I hadn't anticipated getting so throughly shut out of the loop so early, however. Your help has been invaluable thus far. Please don't take this event as an excuse to keep your thoughts to yourself. We need everyone's input, which is the point that several of you were trying to make. There were, perhaps, more... politic ways of going about it."

He takes a deep breath, and the cool Ambassador is back. "Now that we have completed that messy bit of nonsense... What else does anyone know about the situation that has not come out yet? Can we please be forthcoming now?"

Basi looks at him for a moment, and nods once, respectfully. 'I ... have little else other than emotional impressions from Rodimus. I can try to focus on the images he sent and see if I can pull up some useful details.'
