Lettuce!

 Tucked some seeds in today:

Buttercrunch
Blushed butter cos
Purslane

As opposed to last year's careful measurement of the spaces in between seeds, I scattered these sparsely. I'd love it if doing this the lazy way beats doing it right.

blushed butter cos, lettuce, buttercrunch, purslane, spring planting, seeds

Of all things in the greenhouse that are small and less than wildly growing are the Chard plants. I LOVE Chard, the red stalk kind best. It's such a pretty plant, one of my favorite greens & good steamed or raw. I'm out of seed and really prefer to have seed that I've grown or some other organic gardener has. Would anyone out there have any they would trade for lip balm or a bar of soap? :-D

I've got some "bright lights" chard seed. I'll split what I have left from last fall with you--it should be enough to get you started. No need to send me anything--I'm sure you'll be passing seeds on from your garden to someone who needs it, too!
Email me your address and I'll send them your way.

Well, that is SO nice of you... Actually since I posted this, my chard seedlings have grown a bit more and I'm not so panicked about not having any.
If you have tons I'd love some Bright Lights.. (so pretty) but if it leaves you short, not to worry!

Whether you send them or not, thank you. You were the only one to respond!
