It's all purty and look at the lettuce! I've been craving salad greens and it will be a bit before I can start any, but I've been scoping seeds on the internets and getting ready.
Bullet lettuce Winter Density Romaine Lettuce Corn Salad (mixture of varieties) Buttercrunch blushed butter cos Simpson elite Black seeded Simpson
Kales:
Dwarf Blue curled Scotch kale Russian Red kale Purslane
Collards:
Georgia collards Champion collards
Other greens:
perpetual swiss chard a mix of wild garden mustards spinach: Giant Winter and Tyee
Not greens:
Danish ballhead cabbage Melissa hybrid cabbage Broccoli (fiesta hybrid) parsnips (Gladiator) -- these seeds need to be used this season (short shelf life), and it's too late to plant them here.
Let me figure out what I'm planting and I'll get back to you. There are some specifics I want to plant, but this concept of "perpetual swiss chard" sounds awesome to me.
Of course, I'll reciprocate with more seeds. It's gotten to the point I can't visit a nursery without coming home with a pack of seeds - which definitely beats out buying plants that I don't know where I'll put.
