The cool weather continues, although the sun is now peeking through. I'm sure it will become blisteringly hot once we head East.

It's all purty and look at the lettuce! I've been craving salad greens and it will be a bit before I can start any, but I've been scoping seeds on the internets and getting ready.

Bullet lettuce
Winter Density Romaine Lettuce
Corn Salad (mixture of varieties)
Buttercrunch
blushed butter cos
Simpson elite
Black seeded Simpson

Kales:

Dwarf Blue curled Scotch kale
Russian Red kale
Purslane

Collards:

Georgia collards
Champion collards

Other greens:

perpetual swiss chard
a mix of wild garden mustards
spinach: Giant Winter and Tyee

Not greens:

Danish ballhead cabbage
Melissa hybrid cabbage
Broccoli (fiesta hybrid)
parsnips (Gladiator) -- these seeds need to be used this season (short shelf life), and it's too late to plant them here.

Wow, that is very nice of you!

Let me figure out what I'm planting and I'll get back to you. There are some specifics I want to plant, but this concept of "perpetual swiss chard" sounds awesome to me.

Of course, I'll reciprocate with more seeds. It's gotten to the point I can't visit a nursery without coming home with a pack of seeds - which definitely beats out buying plants that I don't know where I'll put.
