The Oto district was homely, but Zetsu wasn’t going to complain because he had been reared in the Amazon, for the most part, after all. And if the skill of this Kabuto was worthy of his money, then it truly didn’t matter.

His escorts fell back as Zetsu walked up the steps of the front porch. He knocked on the door once with his knee.

Footsteps were heard approaching the other side of that front door. Kabuto peered through a pinhole in the door before unlocking the latches to open the door for him. "Zetsu, I presume--do come in." He stepped aside to allow Zetsu to enter.

“Buenos dias, Kabuto.” Zetsu offered as a greeting as he ducked through the threshold. His injured hand brushed against his pocket, where the check he had written out for ten grand was hidden. He decided to give it to Kabuto after his useless hands were healed.

“Are you going to fix them in... here?”

"Here? Oh, not at all. My equipment is downstairs, please follow me." Kabuto turned around and strolled down one of those narrow hallways in the house. He unlocked a door which revealed a staircase leading to the basement of the house. The rooms below contrasted the usual hospital rooms--the walls were dark and dreary, but the place appeared sterile as possible.

"I'll just have a look at your hands and decide if you need a full anesthetic or simply local anesthetics. Of course, if you prefer one over the other, I won't object." Kabuto stopped aside a padded examination chair, and gestured Zetsu to have a seat. "Let me see your hands."

The house in general (or maybe the excitement of a cure) made his arms throb and he crept down the tiny hallway cautiously. He descended the stairs and soon after he realized that Kabuto was worth it.With this revelation came a flash of the past, his first kill (Zetsu had hired a low profile hit man to snipe one of his defenders, but he had failed and ended up having to finish him off with a carelessly placed scalpel).

Zetsu gave the room a hasty once over and took the seat. "Your choice.” And he presented Kabuto with hands, sloppily bandaged up to his elbows on either side.

Kabuto had stepped aside briefly to wash off his hands using a nearby sink. He slipped a pair of rubber gloves over his hands before walking over to Zetsu's side. He nudged a switch situated near the chair with his knee, which triggered a rather bright light to switch on.

"Let's see what you have here..." Kabuto assisted with removing those bandages. He frowned upon seeing the condition of the bandages. "Do tell me how you got yourself into this mess." He disposed of the bandages in a nearby tray.

(( Goodness, today's not a good writing day for me. Please excuse redundancy. ))

Both of Zetsu’s arms were just one big flesh wound. Everything from forearms to fingertips was shredded skin. Kabuto’s careful but needless touching was like putting lemon juice in a paper cut, except everywhere. Zetsu looked up when they began to tremble.

“I’d rather not.”

(I'm redundant ALL THE TIME. I win.)

"Forgive me for prying." Kabuto stepped aside and reached into a cabinet above a counter top. He removed a few glass containers of some sort of liquid. They were arranged upon the counter neatly before he glanced over his shoulder to Zetsu. "Local anesthetic should be enough. I'd rather avoid putting you through the stress otherwise, but do tell me if you undergo pain." He looked back to those glass containers, and started the process of making the anesthetics.

Zetsu thought that Kabuto was acting like one of those soap opera MDs: extremely polite with some bad news on the tip of their tongue. ("Sorry, but I'm going to have to take your whole arm off.") He hoped that wouldn't be the case and by the way Kabuto was running his mouth about local things and no stress, he figured it wouldn't.

It was probably just because the pay was big. "How long is this going to take?"
