Wow...are you the product of public education? Let me guess, you never actually studied ancient Rome, you just assume stuff about it because that's what you saw on the old telly? populos simili tuum terro meam.
Actually you could not have gotten it more wrong. I come from a private schooling background I know that the first real emperor of Rome was Caesar Augustus who's predecessor was Gaeius Julius Caesar, he wasn't classified an Emperor by he was Dictator of Rome who also happened to be epileptic, he had an affair with Cleopatra who subsequently "left" him for Marco Antonio, my father has so many books on ancient Rome I think he can beat the library of Alexandria which was burnt down by Augustus Caesar by the way and built by Alexander the Great of Macedonia.
Speaking of Julius Caesar, the word "republic" was "invented" by the romans coming from the Latin "res publica" meaning "public affairs".
I also do know about the Senate, have stood on the steps which Julius Caesar was stabbed 30 times in the back by the senators and his last words were "Brutus, my son"
So you see, before you go making assumptions which I feel are quite immature, you may want to read some books
